  1. actually the more I look at it, I am guessing fake becasue of the date wheel and slide rule
  2. All of my watches were stolen recently, and I am starting to rebuild my collection. There is a pawn shop about 1.5 hours away from me selling a Breitling navitimer for $1500, and I was hoping to get everyone's opinion on it first before driving out there. I have attached the only picture I have of it. they stated that it does not come with any paperwork (how much would this affect the value?), but they brought it by a local jewler, and apparently they told them that it is genuine. Does anyone have any info/insight on this watch? ie. Real/fake, value, year.. Thanks!
  3. Thanks! This is my first watch with an aligator strap, and I'm liking it. The first picture is more true to its color, and the other ones make it look a lot brighter than it really is.
  4. Just purchased my first Pam with gen strap from koturbo. Its weird because I never understood why everyone liked pams, but they have slowly grown on me, and i finally took the plunge. Im loving this watch now that I have one.
  5. Come on guys! Some one has to know this
  6. So apparently this site sell the screws. Does anyone know what size to get, and if they will work? http://www.esslinger.com/genericlinkscreweach.aspx
  7. Does anyone know where I can get replacement screws for the deepsea sea dweller's bracelet? One of them suddenly came out the other day and I couldn't find it. Thanks
  8. RGN I just put in an order with trevor, and he sent me the same pictures with the rust spots. Haha. He said that he would get another one though so all is well. I went to an AD to try it on for the first time today, and it is much bigger than I anticipated; therefore, I may have a discounted DSSD for sale really soon!
  9. I purchased a Navitimer Serie Special about 5-6 months ago, and last week it finally died. I was a little curious so I took off the caseback. Here is what I noticed: When I try to push the start button for the chrono, it won't push all the way in, but when I let go of the button the balance wheel and the second hand turn for a few seconds then stop. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? I'm not very knowledgeable with watch movements, but I'm willing to try and fix it myself if possible. Thanks in advance for any help, Mike
  10. True.... but it could possibly spark a conversation, a foot in the door, as they say
  11. It may be cheaper up front, but there is a catch... The iPhone unlimited data plan will be 39.99 a month instead of the original 29.99. So, it ends up costing you more in the long run.
  12. Thanks for the tip andreww. The date works, I just wasn't paying attention when I set it. Rolexman, I won't be able to get a picture until June 19th when I get camera back. But, as soon as I get it I'll post a picture on here. My only guess is that maybe the older 21k navi had the minor misspelling of Messerschmitt, and the newer 28k navi's have the more obvious problems. However, I don't understand why this would have changed... Anyone who can clarify this?
  13. Yeah, I thought that might be it... I'll wait another day..
  14. So after a looong time of reading this and other forums, I finally took the plunge and ordered a Navitimer from Ruby. I have liked this watch for a long time, and always knew that this would be my first replica purchase. So, first off I would just like to say thanks to all members of this forum, even though I didn't have direct contact with anyone, reading posts and reviews really helped me out a lot. So far, I am overall pleased with the watch, there are however a few small differences I wasn't expecting. When I was looking at the caseback today, I noticed it was more then just a slight misspelling. messerschmitt was spelled MESSERSCH1417761109 and spitfire was spelled BPITFIRE I realize that it is just a replica, so these differences don't really bother me, I just that I would point it out. Also, when the watch arrived yesterday I went ahead and set the time and date, but when I woke up this morning the date hadn't changed over!! Anyone have any ideas about this? I also noticed there are a few specks of dirt under the crystal. Do you think this is something I should contact Ruby about or just except that it is a replica, and live with the problems. I will post some pictures as soon as I get my camera back.
