  1. so from AKTime and Nightwatch, it's a good decision to go with 2813, away from ETAs. How about 7750? Is it a good movement? Better than cheaper asian movements? Appreciate in advance. Cheers C
  2. Apparently this is one of those "no one knows" realms in this hobby. (at least from what I've read so far) Asian2813? Asian ETA? Swiss ETA? Some say that there's no more Swiss ETA in China, or when you order Swiss ETA it's not actually Swiss ETA. Which comes down to "Get 2813, works great" Some people also said 2813 is garbage and Swiss ETA is way to go, even if it isn't what it is they use all the best parts for this model and more faulty parts for cheaper watches, so it's worth buying this model. Some say that Asian ETA is a good choice given that it is smooth enough yet cheaper than Swiss ETA. I'm more curious as to which one works the best / will last longest. It'd be amazing if someone goes "look, here's the truth...", but I don't hope for that much, just want someone to convince me on 1 movement. Share your thoughts, Thanks. C
  3. haha Mike! I guess too big is also a problem.... At least your wrist isn't skinnier than your wife's....
  4. Another 6" wrist here! Rolex ceramic sub 40mm
  5. so from time to time I see a posting about small wrists. It mainly/mostly starts as "I have a small wrist, and I want this big watch, can I?" Since I hadn't really measured by wrist before, didn't have a clue about the sizes that people were talking about. Today, I remembered that and measured my wrist because it is one of my complexes, girly wrists. Turns out, that my wrist is 6". If you think you have a small wrist (not a good thing to brag about I guess), show me! It'd be even better if a huge watch on it. why am I....so sad....dunno......
  6. I wear them cause i think they're beautiful and can't justify spending that much for a gen yet, not to impress anyone or show that i have an expensive watch. If someone recognize it is a watch worth $25k or something, then they would usually ask me about it anyway and i always tell them about my hobby. I don't make that much a year and i'm still young so it'd be absurd to act as if it were a gen.
  7. 3714.....oh 3714...

  8. @Nightwatch thanks for the link! @freddy333 thanks
  9. Done deal, never seen this easy bracelet haha. thanks guys!
  10. yay it worked! Now I can wear it to work tomorrow
  11. I got it from Andrew. I do have 1.4mm screwdriver, gonna try it now. Thanks!
  12. umm....I actually posted to general discussion board first...now I don't know how to move/delete the post......help? it only took 5 days from China to Canada! The insert is actually a bit dull, not pitch black. But overall, loving it, too bad I can't wear it right away as the band needs to be adjusted. Anyone in Vancouver, BC knows a good place to go for this? or do I just go to a watch shop at a mall? Here it is

  14. Hmm yeah i gotta hold off on portuguese, but definitely getting one. When you say older series with green lume? Do you mean like TC sub v6? It seems to have smaller dots and green lumes. Or do you mean older versions?
  15. Really great info Nightwatch, I appreciate it. That Portuguese is just amazingly beautiful, can't wait...... Is getting a quartz the only option to avoid movement problem? There's no version/TD that makes a reliable ones? Just checked out JLC master geographic....it's fantastic as well, different look but same elegance as duometre. DSSD is also crazy wanted, but not sure if I should get several watches of similar design....as sub. I know the subtle difference makes each rolex unique and stunning, but I'm also afraid that I might not wear all of them just enough if I have too many watches.
