  1. That's why I like iOS devices. Everything work, syncs and updates with ease. I don't want to have to tweak and tinker with my phone or tablet. I want to know when a firmware update is released, I'll get it with ease and certainty.

Those who like to tweak and customize prefer android and I understand that. It's just not me.

  2. A 6+ with 64GB is $849. You're still paying that price even if it's supplemented through a contract down to $399.

Plus, I can use any GSM carrier worldwide at local rates and can switch carriers any time I want to because there is no contract to deal with. Freedom is a good thing.

    It's a work phone. I pay $0 after the $399.........

  3. @Ken,

That's not the point though, it it?    If you had sent him the correct bag in the first place, this thread would not exist.

Personally, I would have accepted your original offer, but that's not the point either, is it?

I know the rep business is unique and has it's own set of seller/buyer relationships, but in the end the responsibility lies with the person who made the original mistake.   As the seller, you can choose whatever stance you deem appropriate for your business.   But then you also have to live with the consequences of possible bad reviews.    No matter how many forum members come to your defense, those bad reviews will still be sitting out there.

As part of my job, the shipping department reports to me, so I have a decent level of shipping experience and knowledge.   I don't think it would ever have crossed my mind to package the bag to prevent humidity from ever reaching it.    It's something I have no experience with.    To expect the customer to do so, without explicit instruction, is unreasonable, in my opinion.

I'm not intending to be jabbing at you, but just trying to make the point that this one bag and subsequent bad review could end up costing you more than this single sale.    Is it worth the risk?    Only you can decide that.......

@pcardoza if you bought the bag off him and it arrived in that condition would you still have mixed feelings?

@Imvfernades I gave the customer a link to this thread, if he wants to reply he can but you may notice I did not name him so he doesn't need to reveal himself either.

  4. I have mixed feelings on this issue.   The wrong item was shipped, albeit a minor difference.   The original mistake lies right there.

To expect the customer to understand the intricacies of shipping the item back my not be reasonable.   Maybe explicit instructions should have been sent?

But......   As we all know, this rep world is fraught with risk on both sides......    If the seller wants to maintain a stellar reputation, he should eat the cost of the now useless item.

I don't know......    Very mixed feelings........    :bangin:

  5. Agreed!   It's on the way to me!    :clap2:

Honestly in real life, the difference in the point where the gen and reps "start" fading to black would be hard to distinguish as a tell unless you compare the 2 side by side.

Also, lighting would play a notable part in the appearance of the dial, as well as the angle from which you happen to glance at it.

The "Deepsea" wording on the dial is however a lighter tone than the one in the gen.

I would not worry about these differences, as they are rather unobstrusive in the rep. It is a nice first attempt, and a very wearable rep IMHO. :)
