  1. Hi Joachim,

They don't make these anymore, so if you really like it, repair is the only way forward.

Try Domi, he's based in Germany and may be able to help you, do a search on the forum and you'll find his contact details.

Oh and if you don't want to bother repairing it, let me know, I'll take it off your hands.  :)  I've been after one of these for a while.

  2. It's Member 2 Member, you should be able to access it, do a search for Breitling within the forum to give you an idea of what has been sold and the asking price, sellers usually list the mods they've done to the watch, this gives you an idea of what typically needs dong to a watch to get it to a reasonable standard.

If you see something currently listed, send them a PM, this is a good forum and people are friendly and have a wealth of experience, members are all over the world so you may find a US seller.

  3. 95/96? They didn't make the SA back then.

As I said, do your own research of both the Genuine and the Replica market to avoid disappointment. AR is always the big tell on Breitling watches and is model dependant along with the sunken date wheel issue which is difficult to resolve.

There are some very switched on people on this forum who can spot a fake Rolex and other brands at 10 paces but your average person in the street isn't going to know.

You're best bet is to look at the M2M sales section in this forum and buy something that has been modded, that way you get the watch you really want, you may have to up your budget though.

  4. Wow, that's a lot of questions.

This has been said many times by some very wise people; work out which model you want, look at the various trusted dealers in the TD section, most dealers sell the same watches, there is a very good post that some has written in this forum, read it, look at pictures of genuine watches and compare them with the ones on the dealers website.

You'll struggle to find someone who has both a genuine and a replica of the same watch, you'd buy one or the other, not both.

Remember you're buying a replica of a genuine watch which is a fraction of the cost of the genuine and they all have faults/tells. I own both genuine and replica Breitlings and you will struggle to replicate the purple/blue hue of the Breitling AR coating on the crystal.

Work out what you can live with and what you cant and what you can do, if anything to fix it. Avoid Blue dials on Breitlings, the shades aren't right, you can't easily perform a dial swap as the feet that attach the face to the movement are often in the wrong place.

    Good Luck

  5. I used to deal with Andrew and would recommend him, he does accept Paypal. I've tried dealing with Toro but unless you have 3 legs and 4 heads and the planets are in alignment, he still won't accept Paypal. I've also been using Ryan at Intime and he accepts Paypal and so far has been great to deal with.

  6. I had a delay as we'll. TD got it back and re sent. Lost about a week. As far as an AP MH...... I heard they were are sold.

I sourced one (AP MH) from Ryan @ Intime, first one had a chip in the crown guard, they'd got me another within a day, so I'd say they're not sold out or in short supply.

  7. Hi,

I suppose it was only a matter of time until I succumbed to buying a ROO.

I don't know whether its still available or not.

I would be very grateful if some of the AP experts could give me their opinion on the watch, I've tried searching the forum but can't find much information on the Watch, I've compared pictures of a supposed Gen and a replica and to my untrained eyes it looks ok.

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

  9. Hi,

Have a look in the TD section, TC has a link to his blog/site, his most up to date pricing is in there, I paid something like $567 to the UK. I know its a fair bit more than your original budget but its a great build out of the box, if you want to add to it you can and if you get bored of it, stick it on M2M and it'll be gone in a flash.

From what everyone else says on here about his watches, they really are superb, but it is the older looking Sub which a lot prefer, me included, the only downside is the wait, it feels like an eternity, you pay your money and wait and wait and then eventually when you've forgotten about it, it turns up.

  10. Hi,

I came to this forum after buying a very dodgy rep Rolex whilst on holiday and then started reading about TC and his Sub, have you considered maybe increasing your budget slightly and going for one of these? Or what about an Breitling Abyss 42, unfortunately the 44's are sold out.

I own several genuine Breitling's and I get more comments about my TC Sub.
