  1. Well...honest opinion...it's not really better than any average inlay you can get at the bay. Best bang for the bucks is still a WM9 inlay with TC pearl :)

Sent from my wooden drums using Tupperware

I would expect nothing less than honest opinions docthor :p

I was over on rolex forum looking for gens last night and I'm still suffering from shock...

  2. You guys must not have seen the TC LV I just posted to sell ?! Its got a gen crown, insert and crystal. Thing is verrrry close to the mark 6 which is a 2005 model and is date accurate with no rehaut etc

I take that back ^^^^ looks like Dusk just checked it out hahaha

Yeah bud. If I hadn't have been moving house in two weeks I'd have snatched your hand off with the watch attached!

    :D

  3. Don't take this the wrong way but I personally believe the only watch comparable to a gen is TC/wm9 not to say that yours isn't nice but it really seems the 16610 is a hard watch to rep

Hey not at all bud I'm still hunting for one!

It's only a cheapie after all but I thought it wasn't bad. I put it up for opinions not willy waving. There are far better rep LV watches kicking around but hard to come by unfortunately.

The feelers are out for a super rep but this will do for now :)

    Peace,

    Dusk

  4. Got my QC pics the other day, should be on it's way...

I'm excited for you. I just ordered an LV for me and a date just for her as my 3rd order and it's a little bit easier but not much easier!

Having something to look forward to is a buzz. It's like Christmas for grow ups.

The QC pics must have been good? Be sure to share your first sub with the group ;)

  5. Am I wrong to like this watch? I'm sure the purists will be up in arms but I really like it.

Project X are a company that mod rolex (for a price)

This is a rep from Andrew. New case back, x on dial (not sure about this), cyclop delete and no crown guard plus NATO.

For the record, I think this will be finding its way to my collection. Love/ hate? Sorry if this topic is old!

(I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm about to be shot and or banned from the forum!) :p

  6.  good one!  You are not hurting the watch by winding it gently once a day. The ETA design will be fully wound @ 40 complete turns of the crown if you start from a dead watch. It is not possible to overwind an automatic watch, since there is a slip-clutch design inside the spring barrel.

Since you work at a desk, and don't move around much during the day, I suggest you wind it every other morning. Winding it every day is overkill.

Do this, and have it cleaned and serviced every three to five years and it will last a lifetime.

Great to hear that I can't over wind it that was my worry. It kind of makes me feel good taking it off and giving it a wind. It feels so smooth. Perfect answer for me and I'm sure will help others too afraid to ask,

    Many thanks

    Peace

    Dusk
