  1. I was thinking about buying this rep from Trusty as a well deserved christmas present to myself. The watch has a working GMT hand rather embarassingly I don't actually know what a working GMT hand does can anyone help me out here? Also has anyone bought this watch and has an opinion on it. Thanks for any help.
  2. I have this one. A nice looking watch but it looks tiny on the wrist compared to a Panerai say. Unfortunately the bezel came off mine when I was at a football match (Preston v Cardiff City) I didn't notice at the time and am trying to get a replacement. I would suggest checking the bezel carefully when you get it. Keeps perfect time don't think you will be disappointed with it.

I have recieved my last two watches in the UK in about 6 to 7 working days from China. Used to take a bit longer than that, about a fornight so it can be variable.
  4. I have the 39mm version from Andrew and it is a striking looking watch, I have had one or two comments on it already and only got it a few days ago. Obviously i am prepared to take the 200 million to one risk that I will run into a Bell and Ross dealer who will wrestle me to the ground, unbukle the watch and point out that the screws on the back are fake. Because of the square shape the watch looks quite big on the wrist at 39mm I would imagine the 46 mm is going to look huge. I have only been on here about six months (still managed to buy about 8 watches in that time) after a couple of years time will I be having sleepless nights about tiny imperfections to the back of reps that no one will ever see let alone know they are imperfections? Worried of London
  5. I have had two Omega PO,s from Andrew they are very good reps, I certainly can't distinguish them from the origanals. Great dealer too you will have no problems.
  6. Fasinating site thanks for the link. Has anyone come across a bigger watch than that Russian divers one?
  7. I would get the orange one no hesitation. If they make it they will sell loads.
  8. I have bought 6 or 7 watches from dealers on here and have never had any bother from customs, all came from China or the far east. I did buy a DVD player om e bay once which came from Hong Kong. Customs sent me a letter saying I had to pay import duty on it. I chucked the letter in the bin and they never followed it up, it was about three years ago now so I don't suppose they will. Possibly they never follow up over small sums so its probably worth ignoring any intial letter from them.
  9. For me the problem has got completely out of hand. It started off with Pannies as with most people but soon even they were not enough. I am ashamed to say I then started strapping big alarm clocks round my wrist with a leather belts. In my bedroom at first but then I started going out like that, at first at night but the during the day too. People would just laugh and stare like I was some sort of weirdo Soon even this was not enough and I stole a huge clock from a railway station and tied it round my wrist with a rope. I haven't been out with it on yet because I can't lift my arm off the floor. I know I need help is there any orginisation for my kind.
  10. Just to add to this thread I recently bought a Panerai 111h from a dealer on here. When i bought the watch it was running five minutes fast per hour.I did a search and read this thread I took Tutimas advice about knocking the back of the watch like knocking on a door, it didn't work the first two or three times but on the fouth attempt it sorted the problem out completely and the watch is now running perfectly. Thanks for the advice Tutima, you have saved me a lot of hassle
  11. My running fast Panerai is now running perfectly. I read a suggestion on another thread to tap the back of the watch like knocking on a door with the sort of vague hope of adjusting the hairspring. Didn't work the first two or three times but I persisted and to my slight amazement it has worked, it has gone from five minutes fast an hour to a few seconds slow a day. Who needs watch repairers whan hitting them makes them work.
  12. Thanks for the advice The Zigmeister
  13. Just received a new Panerai 111h from a reputable dealer on here. Looks great but it is running very fast, gains over 5 minutes very hour. Is there any simple way of adjusting these watches or do I need to send it back? There seems to be a pointy thing with + and - in the back of the watch if this was adjusted would it do the trick? Grateful for any advice as I don't really want the hassle of sending it back.

    New bezels

I was talking about the black ring thing Nanug. Thanks for the advice I will have a look on e bay or contact my dealer.
  15. I have bought a few replicas from the ever excellent Joshua but no Panerai's as yet. I want to get one but don't like the really huge watches. I have an IWC big pilot which is 47mm and its a bit big for me. From what I can see nearly all the Panerai's seem to be big, are they all like this or are some of the models smaller? If there are smaller ones say 40mm or under which models are they? Grateful for any help.

    New bezels

The top part of the bezel on my replica Rolex vintage military submariner has dropped off, unfortuntely it must have happened outside as it is lost. Does anyone know where I could get another one? I would be quite happy to glue it back on myself. I bought it from one of the most relable dealers on here do they provide parts in this way? Incidentally i don't blame the dealer I have had loads of others from him which are perfect. Its a blinding looking watch even without the top part of the bezel but I would prefer it with one. Very grateful for any advice from the experts.
