  1. Curious, how many of you are actually happy with your rep collection? I know a lot of people are "ecstatic" at the quality of their reps, but is that a long term feeling? Are you happy with all the pieces you have purchased? Or is there a nagging doubt at the back of your mind everytime you strap on one of these reps and walk out into the public eye?

funny.... i was just talking to my wife about this during dinner. i'm initially happy with my purchases and knowing that in 5-10 days i'll get a nice present to myself. Just the thought and excitement of a watch coming in the mail makes me want to buy more. I sold and traded most of my watches so i'm down to only 10. then again, i really only wear 5 of them.....the others are just "trophy watchs" hoping that if i'll hold on to it, it'll become one of those "rare reps" we all want in our collection. I may get rid of some more very soon... only to be replaced again...................... i hate this hobby.

i asked my wife if i was weird being a rep collector. she repied "you kidding me? a "COLLECTOR" keeps their collections...." go figure. <_<<_<

  2. hell guys. i wanted to post since this is the first time i've seen it in a long time.

i have been around my parents lately since my sister left to china be an English Professor. My father noticed i have been wearing really nice (mostly rep) watches so last night he came over with a little red velvet bag. I asked him what was in it and he replied "your grandfathers watch". I asked my father i didnt remember him giving me one......he passed away in 1992 with Colon Caner. he replied "of course you dont... you were only 9. your grandfather wanted to give this to you when you are old enough. you last saw it when we went to the bank security box to store it. you put it on and said it was too girly girly and mom should wear it."

the watch and looks kinda...well.... 80's bling blingish. A Gold Rolex was stylish i guess in the 80's. My grandpa was very wealthy during the latter part of his life. I took some pictures of it before my dad takes it to his watchsmith to get it cleaned. after that, it's put back in its resting place till i decide to....pass it on to my grandson.

It is an GEN OysterQuartz DD. I asked my father what it was purchased for and he said 26k. i assume it is worth more now? i'm not a huge rolex fan but the 1680 has been catching my eye.

Just wanted to share with you guys i own a Rollie that i forgot about. i feel like an Asian 80's Gangster Rapper with it on.........lol

Want the right wristwatch to go with that new $88,000 Vertu phone on your belt? Check out this platinum watch from Swiss timepiece-maker Ulysse Nardin, a one of a kind (or rather, 99 of a kind) gem that gives you a UFO's-eye view of the Earth

  4. Okay, I'll say it. I love everything about this watch but for the REALISTIC PENIS of a CROWN.

Everything but that. Circumsize this watch, and you have something.

ha!! i wore this watch out to a bar tonight and i got some compliments. One guy with gen GMT rollie and another with a gen SMP. My douchebag best friend then starts ragging on that i am wearing a watch with an erection.......... fyi, he's an huge fan of Montblanc and actually has a few Montblanc gens. he lectured me that even though the watch is "decent", the Star of David is all wrong............. again, douchebag talk. yap yap yap.

Thank you very much for your purchase. Things have been crazy lately with my schedule and you just happened to get me at the right time. :whistling: Indeed your photos rank right up their with sql_plc. Good work :tu:

    and many more to come.....

  5. hello RWG.

just got this from the post office. thanks TWP!! Item paid tuesday morning.....received thurday night!! I have never had a watch arrive that fast. anyway i am in the process of switching from Canon to Nikon and my D80 should be on the way. I'm currently using my Sony Cybershot so YES, the pictures suck.........

this watch came in the nicest Priority packing ive ever seen. the tape, shipping label, bubble wrap is soo symetrical i wonder if TWP is as anal as me with my stuff. THIS THING IS A TANK!! i took off the brushed SS band because it feels like a soda can. the watch itself is pretty heavy but the band feels kinda tin-can-ey like my SFSO. I favor leather straps than SS bands...... the wife also didnt like the band. she said it looks flimsy. i had a Zeno black croc strap off my Brietling laying around so im switching it until i replace it with a custom strap. lug with is 22mm. the wife likes it better this way too. it's alway nice to have a wife in fashion design.

    This thing is pretty sexy......

  6. guys/gals..... the 06+ Acura speedo's have step motors in their guages. you turn the key to on and the needles reset from left to right to left again. I have a dedicated track car in my garage and me at 150mph, i cant make out any objects in my rear view mirror yet alone take a clean picture with one hand.

btw.... the rev limiter on the TL's is 7100rpm.

i may be wrong. he could be a better driver than me....

  7. i had the version with sapphire. there are 4 versions.

    1. manual seagull movement with correct dial spacing and 1 hour marker at "t" in "meter" -- best

    2. wrong dial, sapphire glass with swiss 7750 -- better

    3. wrong dial, sapphire glass with hi-beat asian 7750 -- good

    4. wrong dial, mineral glass with old 7750 -- ok

please search......there is no "best rep" as they are all wrong.

please correct me if i'm wrong.

oh and welcome to the forum!!

  8. hmmmm..... i didnt know it was a 25/20. i thought it was a 22mm? lol... i just wore it with the black strap. i'd bet it'll look great with a 25mm. please post some pics once you get it.

    wear it well my friend.

    cheers,

    stanley
