I have a nice looking stainless Omega Aqua Terra XL with the bright blue markers. I bought it from a TRC member and he said he got it from Jacky Chen. It has a solid seamaster case back and is believed to be an asian auto movt. I tried finding info on the Jacky Chen stuff, sounds like he used to a pretty regular vendor for some of you guys a couple years ago. How much is the watch worth realistically? Is it a $50 rep or a $150 rep, will be putting up for sale soon and I don't really know what its worth as I got it part of a trade deal for a vintage EXP2.

I so want to buy an Avenger Chrono, Pam 212, or any other number of chrono watches but they all get the 7750 movt. thaat I read so many bad things about. If I buy one of these and pretty much never use the chronos will the watch continue to tell good time and date or will it always have the high potential of taking a crap on me? If I buy one and it dies in a month or two what good reliable options do I have? Thanks

UPDATE After calling 5 watch repair/service places I found one that would touch it. After paying the minimum service charge he was able to get it together, said the rotor was very difficult to get on the center part (bearing?) and that it may come back off again if I were to bump the watch just right. He said the hole in the bearing was a little off. Out of pocket for $70 after taxes, so now I'm into this ultimate ETA swiss sub for about $280+. This was not exactly what I thought I'd end up with when making the decision to spend the extra $100 for a little nicer version without an asian movt. In Trusty's (Andrew) defense after a couple e-mails after I told him I was getting it repaired at the watch shop he said for me to send it back to him to fix for free but at that point the money was already spent and I didn't want to wait another 2-3 weeks and risk customs to have it fixed for free. I mean the shipping back to him would cost probablt another $20+ at a minimum anyway. I am still shopping for a Breitling Ti seawolf with the correct bezel with the open 4, many of the vendors now have a really cheesy looking bezel on their Breitling dive watches.

Thanks, I got the screw out, dropped it, found it on the floor, then proceeded to do just this, I can press it in with my fingers but it doesn't seem to be sitting flush. I will try this a few more times before giving up. Still waiting to hear back from vendor but he likely won't be back on here for another 10 hours.

I tried removing the center screw with my tiny flat screw driver but no luck. Can't seem to get it loose, it just slips out of the slot.

Looks just like mine but the solid rotor has slipped off the darker colored ring around the bearing. Should I try just pushing it back on the darker ring or could I possibly damage the watch if I do that? What holds the big rotor onto the darker colored center piece around the bearing?

Thanks guys but I don't think I follow, what screw and base are you guys referring to? Are you talking about removing the slotted screw head in the middle of the movt.?

I got it in the mail today, quick shipment from one of our trusted vendors but it clunked when I handled it. I opened the case back and found this whats in the pics. I PM'd the seller and will wait to see what he wants me to do, I was actually going to order 1 or 2 more of these. Anyone know how to deal with this?

I have one of Andrew's nice black subs with ETA movt. I will post pics when I get it as I will likely want to mod the watch but anyone here got one of these already car to comment on how close it is and recommended mods? From the pics the pearl looks great, insert looks good, date mag looks good, might need a little CG work but I'll wait until it shows up to pass judgement on that.

I just got an 005 from Andrew, looks great, has AR coating, real beauty, BUT, the crown is a little thin. Are any of the new crown upgrades from palpatine or lello workable on an asian auto? I only see references of using them on swiss ETA, Unitas, 7750's, etc.

Nice, what all did he do? I just got one of these with an asian autmatic movt. Is it possible to do the thicker crown upgrade on it?
