However, I can never understand a word he says.

To make it short,..the money i spent to be a supporter was a good investment because i bought the right reps thanks to this forum.

That's great. I think it's $ well spent, too. It's a great place to learn about reps, and meet great people, too.

I HAVE a thick skin, and I've been on the fora. Maybe not since 2006, as you have, but I've been on MORE fora than you have. I don't bash people for not paying up. How the fook do I know what their circumstances are? I don't. And neither do you.

I had a post going, but deleted it, with links to posts where people were being talked down to/called out/and sometimes flat out flamed for protesting about something, or whatever, but weren't supporters. I deleted it because it would only have started a round of "yabuts." "Yabut he said this..." "Yabut he's a poser..." "Yabut he insulted Lani, or whomever..." It wouldn't have served a purpose.

My question was simply, is it free or not? KB answered my question clearly and said it isn't.

I never said the board wasn't worth supporting. I think it is and have paid up.

I never said the admin/mods don't serve faithfully, without reward. I would never try to fill their shoes.

In fact, I never criticized any individual at all.

Now Josetann has an entire thread devoted to his honest statement of where he's at now, and his thoughts on the topic. He essentially gets flamed.

I hope to rave about Mary. She ordered the wrong UPO. She's corrected the mistake, but my order's going to take a month to complete. I'm too impatient to wait a month for a couple of watches.

Seems like you didn't have a problem when things were absolutely free all these years huh ?? ..

I've donated to every board I've been on except RWG1, which didn't accept payments of any kind. I've donated multiple times to RG and RWI, and actually here as well. In the past, the only time I came over here was to start pictorial threads. I got 98% of my rep info from the boards I donated to. Did you think RWG2 was the only repository of replica watch info? Here again, you're calling someone a freeloader.

Anyways, does anyone know what webhost the other site used? Was it a domestic host? If so then yeah it'd be cheaper, but he got lucky the site didn't get taken down.

Not sure what forum software the site uses here.

As you know, the move was forced upon us a couple of months earlier than I'd hoped (I was planning early next year). The end cost of the new server to the board is going to be around $100 per month, which is a little under 4 times what we were paying up until last week. I could have gone for something a little cheaper, but frankly I didn't think it was worth it. Better that we are hosted on a machine that leaves us plenty of room to expand - we should be secure here for a long while. For what it's worth, we're using the same providers as RWI.

Probably some guys will know who RWI uses.

Greg, admin of RWG1.1, has posted several times regarding the finances of that board. Sort of like a "state-of-the-state" thread. We know about how much money it takes to run the board, and it's not very much. That board has a sales section and dealers, so it has all the same risks. The software doesn't seem to be as sophisticated as this software is, but that's just software, a one-time expense.

Have finances been openly discussed here? Can someone point me to a thread?
