  1. I never got the whole 'fakemaster' deserves this and that stuff. All I remember is him showing up on RWG, amassing a HUGE database of scam sites that put RWG back up into the Google front page, doing some good reviews, and along with 'Rolexadict' and scant others was trying to make the old RWG a 'watch forum' again and were taking things in a good direction.

You have forgotten: 90% of FM's posts were either smilies or one/two word replies. He did about 150 or so in one day, just to break the record for posts in a day.

But, whatever. I'm tired of talking about Fakemaster and Dave, and all the other endearing miscreants.

Back on topic: Houndoggie picked up his gen Speedy for $1,500. In Hawaii even. I could sell off 70% of my reps and pick one up, but I'm not that fond of the Speedy.

  2. I was just over at 1.1 sticking up for 'fakemaster'.

Saw that. It's so you, though: sticking up for the downtrodden and the meek who will eventually inherit the Earth. Me, I think Fakie pretty much earned all the hazing he got there and on RWG1. I always liked the guy; many late night chats about gold and style, etc. And his Halloween avi was the best ever.

You guys are kind of not quite getting the grasp of the whole "We need to get more members up in here" thing.

A good number of the newer members are there for the porn, both to see and to post their own. Won't last long, though. How much of THAT can one take?

Ok, tell those heathans, when your new server is up, they can expect another in house drive by 'Demsey'.

Nah. Who doesn't like a good surprise? :secret:

  3. I only sell watches so I can buy other watches.

I have more seller remorse than buyer's remorse. There's a bunch of watches I wish I hadn't sold.

However, I, too, have noticed guys that heavily mod watches (almost always PAMs) only to sell them when the project is done. My bet most of them are hobbyists, tinkerers. It's either buy and fix up reps or wrecked Corvettes, and wrecked Corvettes are harder to come by these days. ^_^

  4. Excellent. Now I can skip over to RWG1.1 to see if anyone has shoutboxed in the last 30 minutes, then on to The Drudge Report, or Yahoo News, or KBH's fish picture...

One last tip: the comma. 41 in post #31; you've been using fewer lately, but still too many. Slows Dear Constant Reader down. If we're expected to read everything you clickity-clack, your prose should flow.
