Welcome Tom from Central San Joaquin Valley.

Nice ensemble, Omni. Love that pen.

This is real? I didn't know Rolex had released a watch like this.
Hmmm.....

I received this watch today. The date font didn't look like ETA date fonts. They look too wide and too thin. Any opinions?

BK's GMTs are the best:
You can get them with up to 3 interchangeable bezels: black, Pepsi, and Coke. All mods done by BK.

These new subs are awesome...I get a kick out of comparing my wm9 to my old noob. Remember how accurate we used to think the noobs were?
Here's my BKmariner:
My $100 Noob:
BK's was the best until the WM9. IMO.

Sorry to point this out, but is it just me or does the upper crown guard have kind of a "hitch" in it? I've thought I've noticed this on other WM9 v2s. It looks to me like the inside of the upper crown guard has a nice angle to it until it is about hit the case where it drops straight down.
How does it look in person?
Still a gorgeous watch, just an observation.
You might be right. There appears to be a tiny difference in the crown guards. It might also be the way light reflects off the metal. Can't be seen by the naked eye.
2 other observations: 1) I can't hear the rotor at all. Might be because the movement is tiny, but it's silent. 2) It might have been mentioned elsewhere, but there's no etched crown on the crystal.

Some women's Rollies are quite ice.

I don't care for the thicker bezel fonts.

I've done this to both my Subs. No more rattle. Very velvety touch and nice sheen to the steel. Easy to do.
Highly recommended!

I received my WM9 Sub on Monday, or Tuesday. I forget. Maybe last week. Anyway.
It's an outstanding replica. The bracelet finish is the best I've ever had. I used the P4GR method to clean, lube, and wax it. It entails using a product made for bicycle chains. You squirt a bunch of it on the bracelet, work it into the links, and let it dry for 10 or so minutes. Then wash with soap and water and buff dry. All kinds of black rep factory gunk came off and it looks great. Water beads up on it. No rattle.
My only complaint with the bracelet is the clasp. The diver's extension pops up making the edge of the clasp stick up. No good because the steel is sharp. I've had to bend the extension a little to get it to lie down. If it keeps being problematic I'm going to email George.
It winds like a gen. Date fonts are nicely centered. I think the crown tube was installed correctly as it doesn't appear to be straight to me. Crown guards are nice (I think--I'm not that fussy about crown guards).
It's my first watch with Superluminova. Comparing it with my Deep Sea and the recent LV Sub I got from asian7750.com, it lumes brighter at the start and stays brighter through the night. The other two watches stay well lumed all night, though--excellent for reps.
The pics:
Nice crown guards.
Nice brushed steel. The treatment gives it a shimmer in person.
The dial is beautifully done!
Case back.
Clasp and coronet.
A beautiful watch!
My 2 Subs.
Another full frontal.
Wrist shot.

It's global warming, I'm sure.

I like the V3 best. I have an Asian ETA clone model and so far it's keeping COSC time.
As so few people have ever seen this watch in the "real world," it's authenticity will likely never be questioned.

I tried the BBK w/a suit once. I didn't think it worked but a lot of guys thought it did.

A blast from the past!
I'm wearing my WM9 Sub V2 and loving it.
Now the credit card processing is done through Las Vegas but the watches are still shipped out of Taiwan. They ship from someone with your own last name and include a "happy birthday" card.

Chris Farley rolls over in his grave...
I've bought from asian7750.com. They use factory photos. Tony is the guy behind the site. He ships almost as fast as Josh, claims to keep and "test" the watch for 24 hours, takes PayPal, and communication is better than most but not as good as Josh's.
Those "Razy Sales," though.
Good deals can be had there.

Hmm... I knew Dave doesn't like the classic steel Sub... but knowing his taste... I'm sure a few feminine pink diamonds on the bezel could change that.

The hollow mid link bracelet on my sub made more noise than a virgin on
prom night. Now it's as quiet as a celibate mute.
Or as quiet as the wife after 20+ years of marriage?
Just got my WM9 V2 and I think I'll pick up a can of this on the way home. Thanks for the tip!

I will buy Citi as soon as I sell my WAMU

Here is the thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Ultimate-tone-fu...tml&hl=gold
Gold printing on the dial:
Black dial looks more correct?

The FG model is the one to get. The only difference from the gen is the letter color on the dial. Aside from the usual rep faults such as crown guards, crown, etc. There's no full blown review I'm aware of but the watch has been discussed in several threads.
Is this a gen ETA 2836-2?

Thanks guys.
The date fonts suck big time. I look at the fonts and think "21J Asian." If the dealer doesn't fix it I'm selling it. It was supposed to be the exact same watch from the same factory as this one:
THAT'S the date font I was expecting.
