  1. ...is uncomfortable in any sense of the word ... to heavy to high ... sits unstable on wrist and will dance around like hell...

This is how all my Breitlings wear, except possibly the EVO. They are top-heavy and flop around your wrist if you don't strap them down tight. I wear them less frequently than I would like because of this.

    Yet they sell like hotcakes.

  2. RWG has been down before, for weeks once as I recall. All efforts at trying to relocate the database have fell on deaf ears. I don't know why Blade won't let it go. He hasn't participated in, what, 3 years? 4?

I'm starting to feel that Blade is the Wizard of Oz and JB is that mustachioed man at the door that keeps telling everyone to go away. Turns out, the mustachioed man is the Wizard. Could JB be so modest?

  3. Thought I would dredge this thread up for a report.

It's 6:10 pm here in California and my GMT hand says it's almost 10:00 pm. The GMT hand is running crazy fast. The watch occasionally stops in the middle of the night, or the day. Well, at least the hour, minute, and GMT hand stop. The second hand keeps running around the dial like crazy.

Sure is a nice watch, though. I charge up the lume and can easily read the time at 5:00 am. I hope the DEEPSEA is as nice.

  4. Ordered and paid for on June 8. Received Sept 2. One hell of a long wait.

    BK's specs:

    - most select sub rep with sharp bezel teeth, correct date font. No overly deep teeth cuts that are into the bezel lip, no rounded teeth.

    - CGs trimmed

    - widened bezel lip to be more gen-like. It's hard to see the widened lip in the pics but it looks awesome in real life.

    - insert refitted to be recessed, no floating insert. This is some serious sanding.

    - ETA movement

    - watchmaterial pearl

    - do my best to center the cyclop by popping and re-pressing the crystal if the cyclop came askew

    - custom made correct sized crown

    - $360, shipped CONUS

I waited until too late in the day to take the pics.

The rotor sounds a tad loud to my ears.

The bracelet is a typical "noob" bracelet and needs serious oiling. I've WD40'ed it but it still needs oil.

I've filed the edges of the links but they need a second treatment.

I must say the SSD feels better on the wrist to me. I admit, though, that having to wait so long for this watch soured me a little toward it. Maybe I'll feel differently after oiling the bracelet.

  5. If you're on a budget, get the Nikon D40. You can get it for $499 now with a fabulous kit lens that focuses very close. You might not even need a macro lens. Then pick up the 80-200 VR for less than $200 and you're set. My wife has the D40 and the images that come out of that camera, especially the people, are better than the ones that come out of my D80.

I say Canon or Nikon. Sony is a close 3rd.

  6. Get yourself a debit card, with a credit card attached, on an account in which you will hold limited $$. (Preferably with your same bankers}

Then transfer to that account, what monies you need to use, and PP immediately.

Then if you have incoming PP funds, clear them to that account, and then transfer out internally.

I know it is a load of work, but unless monitored, I GUARANTEE PP will dip into it.

PP is very user friendly, until you need to talk to them.

    Offshore

    Indeed.
