Dogs are probably the best deterrent. Who wants to get bit on the ass? They have to be inside the house, though. Alarms are deterrents as well but the thief knows they will have a few minutes before anyone pays it any attention, in most neighborhoods. If you get an alarm make sure it has a bell on the outside of the house. Ours doesn't and you can't hear the alarm going off if you're standing on the sidewalk in front of the house.

Received Trusty's $78 YM yesterday. Date font is thinner and much better looking than the one he shows on his site. Loud rotor, though.

A member on RWG1 purchased a "SeaDweller Kit" on e-bay, it's a gen diver's extension. He claims it's a perfect fit. He also replaced his bezel insert with one from watchmaterial.com, said the pearl is great and has great lume. When I get mine SSD from Silix I'm going to do those 2 "mods."I think even I can handle it!

The list represents a lot of work on FM's part, and it shows.

However, all we need is the rather short list of dealers who have proved themselves over time. It's much easier to choose a dealer from a short list than it is to wade through a long list of sites to stay away from.

It looks like you have a wall clock strapped to your wrist.

Aside from nickel allergy, sweat is likely the culprit. Most people don't know that the skin is the body's largest excretory organ, meaning nasty wastes can leave the body via sweat. Said nasty wastes are irritating to the skin.

Make sure you drink enough water through the day to ensure you have enough fluids for proper kidney and bowel function. Then, try applying a drying powder to the skin every day, hopefully something that doesn't turn the strap a different color.

If it's not an allergy, it will "pass" with a little time.

I purchased about 14 watches off iOffer before finding RWG1. All but 2 were from one seller, a guy who got booted off for posting Rolex reps. He was great to deal with. The other 2 were Chanel reps. They were misrepresented on the site, but I knew I wasn't getting an ETA quartz for $54.

The guy I bought most of the watches from had a very high rating. The Panerais I bought from him are good reps, and they were very good deals. Most of the others were basic 21j reps, but for $90.

I don't feel the need to take the time to ferret out another good dealer, despite the lure of a "deal." Go for it if you can handle pulling in a bad fish now and then.

I've had an SMP chrono for a couple of months now. If you wear long sleeve dress shirts with or w/o cuffs, this watch is so thick it will barely fit under snug sleeves. Loose sleeves are okay. The weight of the watch prevents me from wearing the bracelet loose, as I prefer. It must be snug on the wrist or it flips around too easily. Beautiful watch, though:

The only time any of my shipments (2) have been held up and taxed it has been the SF customs. Both times were shipments of 4. I don't order any more than 2 at a time now and pray they'll go through LAX.

Removing links from a Steelfish is a little like working a jigsaw puzzle.

You have to remove the tiny screws, 3 for each link: the 2 on the link itself and one adjacent. The posts for the link are attached to the bottom piece so the top and middle pieces slide off the top.

It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out it's easy. Enjoy your beautiful watch!

The pisiform is the wrist bone most prominent on the palm side of the hand, below the 5th digit, at the junction of the hand and wrist. The scaphoid process of the ulna is probably what you are referring to. It's the large protuberance on the opposite side of the pisiform, or back of the hand, just as the wrist starts. If the scaphoid process is large it would tend to prevent your bracelet from sliding onto the base of the hand.

This way they are more visible and I don't have to pull back my sleeve to see the time.

Heavy watches have to be worn tighter or they flop around too much. I have since tightened up my SOSF bracelet.

Black for me. There's more contrast with the gold. The dial "pops" While white is more elegant and refined, knowing the little I know about your from your posts, you're more for the "big and bold."

I have to second the thread topic. My white Asian SOSF beats at a visibly slower rate than my ETA watches. My source told me it was fitted with the Asian 7750. Shows you how much he knows.

Only once have I slept with a watch on. A new bed and breakfast. I wore a 127 to bed and was able to see the time until about 4:00 AM.
