Thank you for picture! About the dial pearl lose, last summer during one snookering section in Santorini (Greece), I lose my dial pearl, and I get myself creasy to replace it. Now I see your 1665 without it and I think you leave it to get it aged!!!..................... This get me attuned!! Well done!

My opinion is in plenty accord with you guys! If I would be in the situation to relume one GEN 1665 your opinion is sure correct. I get this work on one bud 1665 copy ( it's not MBW too). I get some case re-work to : http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=41316&hl= This works on the case and on the dial wos only for my apprentice and for my testing. Unfortunately, I had no experience on this type of works and to learn how to do it. On the past, I only do same Frankenstein and nether worked on rep. So maybe you find this luminova not correct, but this work let me to know how the work must be done. Wile, on the daylight the dial appear to me quite perfect in color, only on the night light its luminous and user friendly for me.

Hi guys! Tomorrow I'll get new updated pictures. I get one new gen. tropic , gen. tube and crown. To get the new GEN. tube I holed the case to 2.8 and get the correct screw thread . Cheers Nico

That's nice idea! Before to get one expensive GEN Super dome to test non GEN one! Nobody have GEN Crystal measures?
-
No, this is not MBW, it's one 2 years hold SD I bought from one local dealer. I get one pic. for you, to be sure the OEM can fit.

Thank you friends for your opinion on this 3D. I used LUMINOVA product for two simple reasons. 1- I have it on my workbench. 2- It's simple to use and for me safe result. I leave it one bit yellow , and the facilities to see on the dark the hour is for me one must. Sure If you want one perfect vintage dial you have to use different materials. I'll like to have your opinion on this work on the SD case too. http://www.rwg.cc/members/DRSD-work-in-progress-t41316.html

UPDATE: I get the extra work today. I enlarged the crown area to the correct 8.0 mm , I remodeled the two CG to the correct shape and than I brushed and polished all, case, bezel and case back too. Unfortunately , leaving the bezel, my plastic tropic is gone! That's the pictures. I hope you get your opinion about. cheers Nico

Hi guys, I get same pictures again of my working update of DRSD. I get from http://www.rctritec.com/ one LUMINOVA Kit. that's my before and after work. BEFORE: AFTER the relume: To leave that little 'vintage' and 'used' idea, I chose one light yellow LUMINOVA color, I think the white color is perfect for new watch only. cheers Nico

-
L-dizzle, I'm in accord with you! Vintagifing is needed! About the bracelet, this one is 20mm ends . Do the Gen 6263 have 19mm or 20mm ends??
-
Tribal, your one is sure one great 3D!! Can you plese explane me what do you use to drill this area to the correct measure and shape? Do you drilled or sanded?

Hi, I get started two weeks ago to get same moods to my two years hold DRSD replica. On the first I get the holes for Gen spingbars. To do it and to be sure to get same 1.4mm perpendicular holes, I build one wooden support to hold the SUB on the correct position and to void same tropic failure. Than I reduced the case shape near the springbars area. this because it was 26,62 mm and this void to 'see' the GEN sprinbars on the holes. So I get one measure from one GEN sub and reduced to 25,60 mm . Than I polished all the case. Here you can see the final result , the bars are just were they have to be. Next steeps are: 1- To replace the crystal with one with the correct DOME shape. About this, your suggestions, and were to buy it, are welcome. 2- To correct the crown and the case crown area to the correct shape. about this I see one great and interesting 3D from tribal: http://www.rwg.cc/members/MBW-5513-t41175.html

My condolences to you Reg.

I'm plenty in accord with you Gio, I nether seed that this dial is GEN, I wrote re-dialed. It's one GEN base dial, with one not good re-dial work .
-
Sorry !!! The firs picture is DJ , not AKD .
-
Thank you guys. About Air-king-Date it's one very rare Gen model. That's same GEN pics for you: The real great problem of my dial re-dialed is the SCOC printed, instead of PRECISION. Before to eject this dial out of my window, I'll get same fitting test on the case.
-
Finally I find one Air-king-date Dial. What do you think about? That's my new Franken project beginning.
