What if the question was modified a bit to say which pam OVER 40MM was the closest to gen?

The flip lock clasp on my fathers jos sub is missing a pin on one side. Jos replied to my initial email within 5 minutes saying he would send replacement.
Before I undertake this little project, my question is how easy will this be to repair? How does the pin remove and install, anyone?

Many thanks bk. Awesome insight into the pearl.

With all the time Rolex has on their hands, this is the best looking watch they can come up with. In how long now?
-
forgive me, I assume the one on the left is the new modified one correct? The flat one on the right is HORRIBLE, no wonder you got it modded.

we do love our photography around here. Beautiful shots, By-Tor.

Unfortunately I cannot lock myself in a basement and read RWG 16 hours a day to find the best of the best of the best everything. I was under the impression that Josh/andrew were the best bet (from my days on RWG1). Now on here, I hear about MBW, all these uber mods, etc.. Oh well, I'm still pretty happy with it honestly. Do I wish it was the best rep out there? Sure. At one point I even thought it was.
I was a little offended with your first post, yes, but I did not see the others before they were editted. I don't mind the criticism so much as the way you kind've seemed to shove it in without so much is a some lube or a hello. Really, its no big deal, you seem nice enough in your other posts anyways. I assume it was my watch you were disgusted with and not me.
Truthfully, if you have suggestions as to modding, or a better more accurate source, Im all ears. I just dont want to pull a faux pah and ask people for that information blatently. Im inclined to learn as much as I can. I have been bitten, and my wallet is going to shrink. In the immediate future I would like a superocean, then on to researching a nice pan.

Nanuq what did that watch ever do to you?
I agree the SS black sub is classic beauty.

hey, do you work in a sweatshop?
Im just kidding! Great idea you have there, even better execution. Craftsmanship looks professional.

Today I went with this-

Thank you guys. Thanks for the PM's as well, you know who you are.
bklm1234, You look like you were on a mission man. Fortunately I didn't not get a chance to read your posts. Its a watch. It will not end world hunger or resurect the dead, i'm sorry to say.

overly conical rehaut, cyclop and date window too far right, no rehaut thickness, how crystal, wrong crystal bevel. -bk
Why stop there?
Lazer etched crown at 6 o'clock too large, crown itself too large. Incorrect pearl, incorrect model number on hologram (should be 16610 not 11610).
Still about $4800 cheaper then the gen, and I'm happy. Thanks for looking.

Im pretty glad that I dont particularly care for daytona's. They look gaudy and cheap to me.

Pardon if this should've gone in off-topic, this seemed like the best subforum.
Take a break from watches for a moment and check out this Mont Blanc Nicolaus Copernicus Fountain pen from Joshua.
Not identical by any means, but a nice piece none the less. Very nicely weighted, and it writes oh-so-smoothly.

paint the inside of your bracelet with clear nail polish. I would recommend washing the bracelet with hot soap and water first.
I thought I had a rash from the bracelet too, but it just turned out to be mosquito's liking my Rol.

ive been lurking moreso on RWG1, but I'm liking this place more and more. Not much to say here, you've all seen it before. But heres the pics of my new SS Sub from Joshua.

Yes it will. It doesn't make any visible difference (which is important), but it'll make the edges softer and smoother. You need some patience though.
Can the scotchbright pad be used to remove the normal hairline scratches that develop as well? Just asking because I was going to give this a try, but you mentioned it doesnt make any "visable" difference.
Thanks guys
