and i must ask do anyone really care?
I do. Not very much, but still it's sad to see someone who was so ALL IN be ALL OUT so fast. Odd really.
Odd.

the watch is good, but the shirt says - i got a large set of hairy nuts and i don't give a [censored] what you think
And, while the Tony Montana meets Borat style isn't for me, I LOVE the message. And nice watch too...
-
IMHO better info here - whatever you do, don't send any watches to RBJ!
by the way - south side of chicago? i hear thats the baddest part of town
If you go down there you better best beware...
Oh, and welcome! I agree with phoband... MUCH better here... or at least much more comfortable for me...but to each his own & you'll make your own call and we'll still like you either way!

anyone put a 2893-2 in one of these babies?
-
The stem screws into the crown, sometimes glue is used to make a tight fit. Try to use a match or something to heat up the connection, melt the glue, and then unscrew with a pair of neddle nose. Be careful as the metal will get hot.
Thanks Drop. Forgot to add that I had already tried heating it. Hoping for any other tips, but I will go back to heating and twisting!

Urine may have a nice effect on the hands. I may try that.

Great, thanks... I'll give it a shot. It's an Ubi vintage insert... So I'm not sure which category that falls into, but I'll keep an eye on it.
BTW, for those of you who haven't tried it, this works GREAT.
-
Just wait til I get a decent camera..........
Both you and Ubi should probably be shot. Stephane too while I am at it. Then I'll jump off a tower.
-
That is great thinking. Don't know if it will work, but you guys gotta admit that the collective mind around here is too cool to be believed. Thanks!

I've got a Rollie (rep) crown that came attached to a 2836-2 stem. But... the stem cracked (don't ask) ... so, I'd like to remove the stem fragment from the crown, but they are very tightly attached. Any tips on wrenching the two apart would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Try to take apart the keyless works? Should be able to get to it...
Thanks. I got it out.
OH, BTW, I am pretty sure Ofrei can sell you (and me!) a stem:
http://www.tztoolshop.com/page30.html
now I just need the gen crown...
-
I was playing around with my DRSD and cut the stem a little too short Also jacked my gen crown... but that's another story.
Thanks for input on where I can pick-up a replacement.
Funny... I just broke my stem off in the movement. Can't really get the piece out either Bummer.

Hi,
where did you get this watch from?
i am really looking forward to get the same with rubber strap. Maybe getting the additional strap so to change fro time to time. Could you tell me who was your seller?
Mine came from Joshua.
-
I'd go Fer 008 b/c its closest to gen.
I don't know about that... the 3717 is very close to the gen, and to me that one wins hands down. It's a classic. And it's beautiful.

"John" - The reason you're listed as a scam dealer here is that you're [A] full of [censored]; selling the very same watches available from numerous other dealers at inflated prices; [C] the recipient of much poor feedback from our members; and [D] full of [censored].
You ... um... forgot...um...er ... FULL OF [censored]! After market genuine dials ... please. We are not as stupid as you thing. 'night bubby.

Not touchy at all actually, I wish them luck but I think that recent history shows that they will need it.
Ken
That's for sure true.
@Samurai- I know... what's that all about. I know these forum's are supposed to protect us from scams, but RWG is so much more than that, and I am glad it doesn't make that it's ONLY purpose. Otherwise, once we found a good dealer, many of us would stop coming. Strange concept. Won't last long.

This is fantastic news! The feelgood post of the summer!
-
You don't have high expectations for a forum I see, usually pretty darn good would mean content not the just the banner.
Ken
I think everyone is getting bit touchy around here. Let's all breathe in and out...
-
Easy. Just send your gen DRSD into an RSC & they will swap the original, worn out old tritium dial out for a brand spanking new luminova dial.
I'll... er... do that, Freddy. Thanks for nothin'
-
That is awesome news. Maybe a franken drsd is possible now (without the $14k dial!). Now, where to actually get a hold of one???
-
Thanks for the warm welcome carlsbad.... Everyone starts out as a new member. If QC isn't something that this community encourages are "preferred" dealers to uphold, then why do we buy from them? Why not take our chances on CQOut, DHGate, etc.
er... um... CBR was kidding... take a pill my friend... in this hobby, you need to...
-
Beautiful... as always. Tourby, your watches are fantastic pieces at fantastic prices. Wont be long until I pick one up...
-
Greg,
I think that you should just relax a little bit.
Things will get mellow as soon as people stop screaming "murder" everywhere, and stop taking this hobby dead seriously.
I always saw you as a good guy. But now that you removed Neil Peart from your avatar, I'm not so sure anymore...
ah main.
