What's new to that?.... some specs of the ETA 6497
-
not to rain on the lovefest here.....but the only thing holding me back is the omega touching the omega horsehoe logo. thats like the first thing u look at on the watch...the logo...what kind is it..o its an omUega....at least its not also a seaNaster or a seaHamster. do i buy now with the logo thingy, or wait till 5th gen...which could take a step backwards as well.....this is the quandry.
Me too! ... the 'omega' and logo touching bugs the crap out of me!!

That's the other lever I think... But now I'm not sure anymore. Can someone confirm this?
-
That pic is taken by me personal straight out of the Breitling Chronolog 2004.... It's a genuine Breitling Claiber 13 movement.
-
The Chrono Avenger is equipped with the caliber 13 movement which looks like this. So I don't believe that's a genuine rotor.. or maybe the 2006 model?
-
The only obvious problem is the word "Planet Ocean" on the cover is not engraved.
What do you mean by that??... I do see 'Planet Ocean' on your case back.
-
Just adjust the lever as indicated on the pic. For regulating seconds just give it a slight tab. If you c the lever move you've overdone it. For regulating minutes it's okay to c the lever move a little bit.
Use tryle and error to get it right....

Bring on the orders!!!..... now this is top notch marketing!!!
-
SMP?.... maybe.
I do think it's gonna be the Planet Ocean!

Or maybe both!!!!!??????

Try a copper polish. I use 'Hagerty' copper polish (available at Makro for example). Use a swirly motion to polish (in circles). You could also use some 'displex' which is used to remove scratches from mobile phone displays (available at Belcompany).
The glass has to mineral based.. sapphire is too hard to polish.

Sweeeeeet

Don't worry... I was wearing reps when you were still sucking on yo mommas titty.
-
I'm not fixing it... it doesn't bother me. One could always buy an aftermarket ETA one I presume. You'ed have to ask The Zigmeister when he joins us.
-
do you think that the Chinese have yet to figure out how to put together a decent watch on their own ?
Yep, great quality from China! That's why my Nikes are so durable... I can wear them for years
-
And of course you could always upgrade it to a Swiss 7750
Sure... pay a couple of hundred bucks for a Swiss ETA and only use the second hand chrono @ 9
Investment of the year...

Good choice!

I asked for opinions and opinions I´ve got. I prefer any kind of quartz movement instead crappy Chronos with day/date functions, that´s what really suck.
True

Just forget it! In the end you'll probably do more harm than good. In order to get the insert out without any damage to it you'll need to pop off the entire bezel.
Dents, scuffs and scratches are very common after bezel removal if you've never done it before.
If you love your watch forget it or practice on an old cheap one....
-
Quartz sucks big time... sorry. I would rather wear no watch at all!

I can only speak for kenberg and Thor, who are both over 300 posts - most of which are as a result of setting this new place up. Without many of their 300+ posts, we would not be here.
My point is that you must be careful not to generalise your point too much. I have said before, I don't necessarily disagree with this view, however I repeat, deleting the post-counter alone will not solve, what amounts in my humble opinion, to a minor problem.
JTB
You're right. I'm very happy with the new forum ..... But I still think we would be better off without the counter
-
If you are used to the Swiss ETA movements you will be disappointed by the Asian ones. Fact. But it doesn't matter because you can easily sell it with a couple of bucks profit @ marktplaats .......
My signature says it all!
-
People with already 300 posts and up..... YEAH RIGHT, REAL QUALITY THERE!
-
Second that...
what is this? asian or swiss?
in Rep vs. Genuine
