@Avitt, thanks for the link. Compared the bridges, noticed several differences, but the biggest difference is the shape. It is the same bridge as you have seen. Thats a shame....

Ok guys, i know that almost everyone of you currently working on a 6263 project are thinkng the same thing as me.... These bridges have been sold on ebay for a ridiculous amount of money. Now i guess most of you know where to get this little part for the right price. I am on the lookout for a nice bridge and our "friend" showed me some pictures of this item for the right price. What do you guys think of the accuracy of the item? have you noticed any obvious flaws?

I agree fully. I can not understand what the idea behind posting fakes on those sites is. This will only aggrovate the hardcore watch collectors who are already annoyed on the replica scene.

@Halley, nice work, i am have at the moment three vintage daytona projects going on simultaniously, thats why i am asking. I am too gathering parts, crowns, crystals, pushers, tubes, bracelets, dials, movements, bridges and so on... BTW, where do you find these engraved casebacks? are they gen or aftermarket? What do you do about the space between the lugs where there are no engravings? Can you have the missing numbers engraved?

@Halley, very nice job my friend, and very nice collection of parts. By the way why did you replace the caseback? And what bezel did you exchange the DW bezel with? Those two engraved cases are they the original DW cases or are they for the VJ 72?

for a crown you can email these guys dpamc@aol.com they have all the genuine Rolex parts you need, they are not cheap though...

It will be interesting to see what the VJ72 prices will be in two years time, as more and more VJ72 cases are produced. Originlal rolex parts for the 6263 are getting harder and harder to find therefore Rolex collectors and watchmakers are turning their heads to the "non Rolex Vj72" for parts.

@halley what tube are you inserting, genuine or aftermarket?

The VJ72 prices are still reasonable, but lets wait and see what will happen in the near future as the new (big) wave of VJ72 cases flood the market.

How much did you pay for this new DW kit? do you have pics?

A very important type trustworthy member of this forum (thanks again) has kindly supplied me with a fatastic VJ72 6263 case. I have had my eyes on ebay for a while for the right VJ72.... is there anything specific i need to keep in mind when looking at these movements?

I want to get hold of a nice steel bezel for my other project.... do you guys know where i could get hold of a good one. I have been looking around a bit and noticed that usually the numbers on the steel bezels are too bold.... How are DW´s steel bezels?

Nanuq you are quite right, better to use the right watch for the right purpose.... @Avitt, that is a beautiful case.... is that a gen tube that is fitted or the cousins tube? BTW has anyone seen any heavy 78350 for 6263 for sale?
