  1. Indeed, very similar, especially the straps. The camera hasn't quite captured the color of my strap properly. The photos have given it a more ceramic/reddish hue, where to the nake eye, it appears more 'toffee' colored. Is that the same with yours?

I have two ones one more reddish as shown in pic and one a little more brown/toffee, both i think arent real leather a little bit of plastic feeling and if you make some leatheroil/? on it it stay on top go not inside... so i think its plastic

  2. Helmut, exceptional. Truly.

I realise a lot of those straps are probably VDBroucke's fine vintage WWII straps. But I do believe the middle one is the one you made recently. Yes? :)

  3. Nice work. I like your creativity. It kinda shocks people when they realize it does not take a major investment to dramatically change their pictures. Now what need are time, patience, and more subjects to capture.

    Enjoy

    Well thanks.

proud to hear the nice comment, i am always looking for your perfect pics

cheers helmut (maybe the next watch comes from you ;) )

  5. I once used to think that a German strapmaker (also called Karl living in Thailand) was Maria.

Maybe Erfurt, who also bought from this chap and was more impressed by the quality of the straps than I, can elucidate. *g*

EDIT: I'm actually kidding, unless this Maria person has gone COMPLETELY doolally and branched into strapmaking instead of the more profitable MBWs. But the personality fits -- irascible, uncontrollably partial, Germanically maniac. I live with one such German, so I know. :p

hello, i m living in germany, and bought two straps from karl, leather on the first one is fine but the finish at the lugs was not so good, i mailed him and got quick respose in which he excuse him and offered me a
