No problem I'm glad to help, and it'd be nice to know that a good dial is available if I ever get a Santos... Why not just take in a pic of the gen and have them make it from the picture? or do they have to modify an existing pattern?

ok, so I did the overlay and it looks like the rep is off in a lot of places. The genuine is in red with the rep as the background. I included everyone's comments, including Kollektor's, though it seems that it isn't that the font is too thick, but is too short. There are way more differences than we thought. lol *edit* removed because V had an error NOTE: The bottom left of VIII is a little distorted from the angled shot.

LOL That's a pretty creative solution! It's cool when there's so much history behind these watches. It makes me want to get one even more!

It looks like 'I' for 1 o'clock is a little off. Compared to the 1 o'clock tick mark on the gen, it looks like the 'I' should be nudged over to the right a little bit. Do you have any straight on shots or better pics of the gen? When I get home today from work, I can try to super impose one pic on the other and distort it a little so they line up so you can see exactly what needs to be changed. *edit* found this pic. a straight on shot would be better though *edit2* both side by side to help compare. A total newbie question, but when I did a search, there was a whole bunch of unrelated results since the query is a bit generic. So, what's the intended purpose of the crown guard and lever? I'm guessing that when on some hardcore expedition, the cg is to prevent the crown from ripping off/catching on some boulders or the such? What's the lever for though? Wouldn't just the cg suffice?

So for our 2 year anniversary, my gf and I want to get each other watches! I'm looking for the ladies' J12 for her: -higher quality white ceramic -not the larger Men's sizes -ceramic and sapphire bezel (no diamonds) -full ceramic case and band For me: -higher quality black ceramic -39mm -full ceramic case and band -no diamonds For the one for her, I'm not sure where to get it from. Each dealer's website seems to be different from the others, and the watch versions don't seem to match up. I'm not sure if I'm going to get it from where I originally was going to get it from because after reading several of the 7+ page threads on here about certain dealers... I'd love to get her an automatic, but I can't justify spending 3 times as much for one, and she wouldn't want me to either because she doesn't know the difference anyway other than the second hand sweep For me, well, that's a little less straightforward... I'm not sure what sizes are available, but it seems like they only have a 39mm, which is cool with me. I know there is a chrono version (called Superleggera?) and regular ones, and either is fine with me. And I understand that black ones come with only a engraved bezel. So I'm pretty much open to anything that matches only the 4 requirements listed above. I was just wondering what else is actually available? I'm very open to recommendations and would love to hear where you guys got your J12s from!
