  1. The more basic the design the better chance you have of sealing it successfully. Generally, I'd not bother with chronographs - although one of my Seamaster chrono reps was successfully tested to the maximum capability of Timpsons test equipment (can't remember but 100m or maybe even 200m).

Timpsoms have testing equipment! How much do they charge?

Unfortunately, we have all been left in the dark somewhat, Thomas hasn't posted anything whatsoever about recent rumours, and conspiracy theories about going legit.

Bro I still think the theory is correct... and as I'm not longer likely to be able to pick up a TC LV I used one of the best sub cases out there (Ginault)... and used it to put my fantasy no date LV together.

I used the latest JF Insert... not sure how accurate colour is but it's a sweet insert for sure.a0c5200beba58da8c33a29768b93be14.jpg

  3. You took a Ginault and replaced the dial thereby removing the semi mythical desert sand collected from under the Blackpool Big Dipper? You brave and extraordinary man you. Only the power of the Brotherhood of SH protects you from the curse of the ‘Mercian Mummy

Drill the lugs, Drill the lugs! You know you want to.

Oh Brother... phase 2, phase 2... i need some drilled lugs

I may escape the curse due to the Ginault not having the mythical gold sand... just plain old supermagicalmysteriousluminova in BGW9 !!

  4. It's all about the watch box for me...

Started off with an 8 berth... and soon filled it. Then as I was tempted into expansion I added a 24 berth case - filled that too. Decided at some point things were a little crazy so scaled down to 18 berths in that (adapted) case, and retired the 8 berth one.

Later on I decided to make a gen grail purchase so slimmed collection down further. Over the years tastes changed and I regularly swapped in/out old favourites gen and rep.

The latest watch box driven change in collection saw the use of my original 8 berth box but adapted to 6+ straps... but then I saw a nice 10 berth box at a great price... you know where my collection sits today then ?

And don't even get me started on how many straps, bracelets and NATO's you need
