  1. finger nails eh? unfortunately my nails aren't long enough for that... perhaps I should use a pair of pliers or something My 4th gen PO screwed all the way in quite nicely with no tube showing
  2. LOL, I don't think I can apply any more force on this crown as my thumb is in pretty rough shape right now The 4th gen PO I had before this screws in fully with ease so it can't be an end-user problem
  3. Is anyone elses tube visible on their UPO when the crown is fully screwed in? compared to a pristine UPO, no visible tube whatsoever
  4. Okay, so I sent this one back to Silix and ordered a UPO from Andrew as I want to mod it eventually. Guess what? same problem! the crown doesn't screw all the way in like it did for my 4th gen version. Is this common? Anyone have pics of their crowns fully screwed into the case and willing to share?
  5. Definitely. Or you can come on a message board and complain to the world of their evil doings because of a faulty watch.
  6. Can anyone clarify what exactly is crown tube stripping ? I've tried looking everywhere however came up with nothing with regards to a diagram or pics
  7. whats the total cost of a tube/crown replacement/repair?
  8. Nice! In other news, Britain's Channel4 is doing an interesting special on reps this weekend and there are two teaser clips on their website: http://www.channel4.com/video/the-fake-tra...-shops_p_1.html
  9. You are SOL and should probably stick to gens if the risk of getting a horrible watch outweighs the potential reward.
  10. As far as I am concerned, the dealers are free to market their products however they want because in the end, they are selling illegal products after all. It should be up to the consumer to do their own due diligence by checking out the forums and reviews on the internet before purchasing.
  11. That's pretty much similar to Manhattan, NYC
  12. Are you guys reckon its the 42.5mm version? it looks rather big in the new pics Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3
  13. It seems like he was making eye-sex with your PAM and you unknowingly got taken advantage of
  14. Mine would be: Daily - Tag Carrera Dress - Rolex SSD / PAM 112 Sport - Omega UPO
  15. Not too shabby for $175 i'd say? I agree the datewheel font needs to be bolded to match the gen and the markers on the 3/6/9/12 are a tad short as well but at least the Omega symbol is correct Oh yeah, the hands seem to be superlumed whereas the dial just has a normal faint lume.
  16. I finally received my Silix 45.5 PO and it's great however the crown does not screw all the way in. Is there any way of fixing this issue? as it sticks out a little more than I like. Here are the pictures of what i'm talking about: Thanks guys!
  17. I'm fine with the no belt with a suit combo, no need for one really
  18. never mind figured it out, seems i wasn't pushing the pusher located at the 4 position hard enough... phew
  19. Anyone know how to stop the 6 & 12 subdials from moving? It's odd how there's 3 subdials moving at the same time.. LOL Thanks.
  20. I just received my Carrera sport version from Silix and wished it had A/R but other than that, it is simply stunning especially the rubber strap. Does anyone know how to reset the damn subdials? all three keep moving albeit at different paces.
  21. The Tag Carrera Sporty looks better imo
