  1. Happy Birthday coliver18!

  2. Thanks project! That means a lot after viewing your pictures. Very, very nice!
  3. I finally had a few spare minutes to snap some decent pictures. Except for picture time, this puppy hasn't left my wrist since I got it up and running. Thanks for all the nice comments on my previous post. Definitely lovin' this piece!
  4. Nice to b back on RWG after a long abscence. I've had this 28A in a drawer disassembled for the better part of a year. I bought a gen right around the same time I got this back from having gen PVD applied, so I never felt rushed to get it up and running. Rolli supplied the PVD service (which included leaching the old fake PVD coloring off) and some additional parts. So big thanks to him! Before I purchased the 28, the previous owner had already had some significant mods done including the date wheel and cyclops. In addition to the PVD, I've since added a new crown and purchased a gen buckle, which rolli coated for me as well. I couldn't be more pleased with the way this piece turned out. I apologize for the crappy pictures, but I was so excited at how this turned out I wanted to share what I could. FYI, the crystal is actually in perfect condition, any blemishes are due to my impromptu photography. I'm going to dress it up with a nice Simona croc that I have lying around somewhere and then take some real pics to share later. In the meantime, please indulge me as I welcome my new baby into the family!
  5. Thanks. Truth be told, it had more to do with "winning big" at the bar rather than the tables. I actually went in looking for a 104, but once the salesman splipped the 250 on my wrist, that was all she wrote.
  6. Just picked up a 250 from Tourneau in Vegas this past Saturday. Sorry for the very sub-par pic, but the only thing I have in the office is my iPhone.
  7. Thanks all. Since my skills, or lack thereof, are pretty limited, I guess I'll inquire with The Zigmeister once he starts taking appointments again.
  8. Are there any mods that routinely fix the dreaded stripped crown/tube? I love my PO but never wear it anymore because I'm afraid I'll ruin it. Sucks too, b/c it's modded to teh gills. Superlume, gen hands, gen bracelet, gen rubber strap. the only thing I hadn't gotten around to was fixing the Omega logo on the dial.
  9. Great insight to an unfamiliar world. I hope to travel to China someday. Thanks for posting.
  10. In my non-expert opinion, I believe the two biggest differences are the dial, which you pointed out, and the case finish: the 27 is polished, whereas the 28 is PVD. There certainly may be some other more technical differences that I'm not aware of.
  11. addingwatch-- I hope to be going through your "dilemma" in a few weeks, as my 28A is in the EU for PVD service. Please post your pics if you get a chance. I'd love to see the finished product.
  12. There's a follow-up clip from NBC news on YouTube now. From a different comera angle you can clearly see that Bush pauses, puts his arm in front of his body, removes his watch and puts it in his pocket. Granted he does it quickly, but it's pretty obvious that that is what he's doing. Too bad though. The other scenario make a much better story.
  13. Thanks for the help and welcomes. I'll let you know how it turns out. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a "noob tax refund."
