My only complain is single sided AR and the pearl which have a green look. (glow more than hands)
My first BCE had a really green pearl too. My TT is the "ultimate" but the gold seems lighter than on yours - I was hoping to try and score just the bracelet, but I think the risk that the gold doesn't match up isn't worth it now. Thanks for the pic.
-
humm.. My $230 TT BCE don't have any of those problem.
You mind if I ask who you got yours from? Pics?
-
Holy crap, that's a nice watch! Good find.
-
Every TT BCE bracelet I've seen has been bad. It's almost as if they just took the normal bracelet and "painted" the mid-links gold. I got the TT BCE on a SS bracelet because of this. If anyone out there has one that doesn't suck, I'd like to see it.

I'm sure most of us have far worse examples of what we once thought were "Swiss replicas". I'm thinking faux chronos and chrome plated brass...
-
Could be, but I wouldn't take that chance.

Being discussed here. He had six watches yesterday, I guess he already sold some.

Unfortunately, this is just like 1938 - only this time the world is leaving things well enough alone.
-
The world isn't America's problem, and America is not the world's police force. In fact, they are either directly or indirectly responsible for a large portion of the world's ills. The one you forgot to mention is American colonialism. Now we have 2 presidential candidates who would be more than happy to initiate the third world war. GWB ran on a platform of peace, and look at how that turned out. His buddy McCain dances around like a 5 year old singing "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran!" and people cheer him on.
-
The fact that it has boiled down to the three worst possible candidates proves just how stupid the average United States of American really is - now flame away!

Are there any auto detailing products that will impart scratch resistance on the 316L steel most of our watches are made of?
I put Turtle wax on my twotone watches, and it's been good so far. I have a 5 year old Asian sub that still loks good - none of the gold wore off and minimal scratches.

Do I smell smoke?Definite hustle. And he's using gen pics.
Either this is a hijacked ebay account, or 6 lucky people will benefit greatly from this.

It's obvious that the one on the left is a rep - datewheel, v1 dial (missing "tick"), etc.
The one on the right looks better - but something about it is bugging me. I'd guess it's a v2 with a datewheel and bezel swap. The dial's not as robust (but that could be lighting and angles). But the thing that grabs me is the logo. It doesn't look like what I'm used to seeing (but then again - the big watchmakers have been known to throw minute differences in font, size, etc. so who knows)
Here's my analysis for what it's worth:
(I'm sure Homer - or someone - will let me know if I'm wrong)
Conclusion: both fake.

I'm the geek in my circle, and all I have to say about those is:
gay, gay, gay, gay, gay and gay (no offense to the gays on this board).
I wear my short sleeve dress shirts with a Chronomat or Avenger.

I have been almost everywhere... and every single one of them got upset and either lectured me about horology or just told me to get the hell out of their establishment.
Lol, French Canadians can be so snooty! Find an Asian jeweller in a small mall or flea market (Indians are pretty good) - most of them don't care
-
I'm not sure about all of them (there were a couple of bad reps before they at least got the dial right), but I have the one with the correct dial.
If by "clear" you mean the crystal doesn't distort the view - then yeah, the rep's crystal is pretty bad. I'm not sure it's sapphire but whatever it is, it's not like the BCE crystal and nothing like a Gen.
*edit* damn I'm a slow typer, lol!

Always loved this one - reminds me of the Crosswind with better looking subdials.

Bullsh*tListen up. The US Military does not engage unarmed civilians. -
The actual death rate for the US Military today are LOWER than most of the COLD WAR.
That's because most of the people they're fighting now are unarmed. But remind us how many US soldiers were killed in Moscow during the Olympics...
Did you just make that up?Even the suicide rate as a percentage of the military population is less than half that of the 80's.2005 - US soldiers' suicide rate in Iraq doubles
2006 - Army suicides hit highest level since 1993 [2]
2007 - Suicide rate in US army at highest in 26 years [2] [3]
2008 - Concern mounts over rising troop suicides , Suicide rates for new soldiers are heading for a record high
Soldiers, Marines, Airmen and Sailors are not the murderers you try to imply with made up numbers of "hundreds of thousands"...The best estimate was over 600 000 2 years ago. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
Should the US re institute a draft? You think it would do any good?

Using a sophisticated system of smoke, mirrors and mass hypnosis, Bush, the CIA and the Mossad orchestrated 9-11.
Though I know you're just kidding - you might not be far off. I believe the whole "no-plane" theory is CIA counter intelligence designed to discredit the entire truth movement.
Whether they were missiles or planes, Al-Qaida attacked us and admitted to doing so.Actually, Al-Qaeda adamantly denied responsibility. The only person who admitted it (on video, of course) was a fat, right handed, BLACK guy dressed as Osama Bin Laden
i'm well aware of the evil empire in politicsI'm with this guy
Surely you're aware that they all can trace their geneology back to 3 families? You don't have a choice, they just make you think you do.

I know this has been asked before, but why would you take a shower with your watch on? That's not a rhetorical question, and I'm not simply being facetious - I really want to know! ("because I can" isn't really an answer either). There are better ways to clean it.
I completely disagree with those who would argue against swimming with a rep - All my Rolex reps, my second BCE, and my Colt have all been tested and all get wet with no problems whatsoever. The thing about a shower isn't so much the water as it is a)the water pressure, and the temperature changes. Going from a cold room to a hot shower to a cold room and blasting a watch that has not been properly prepared for that will have consequences. I have an Sub that is my "Hot tub watch" but it gets checked and treated before and after every snowboarding season, and if it dies, I'll live.

No they don't - that's the beauty of fractional reserve banking.Of course they have to keep their ratios right, or it costs the bankers in the middle... -
*snip*
Someone figured this out in the 30's and we all know how that ended.
-
I would definitely have gotten a Speedmaster if the spacing was right (and probably a p.o chrono), and now the BTR1911. I wonder of it's just too much trouble, or that they just don't feel that they'd sell enough to justify the cost.
Please help me with my first rep

The caseback is horrible - but no one sees it if you don't take it off. Once it leaves your wrist "the jig is up".
