Thanks. I think I'm as anxious about reading your review of this guitar as you are about getting it.

Nevermind, I can't spell today, lol!

My whole life I wanted a Breitling. I had a few crappy fantasy models, along with a couple of Subs, a fake Tag, a bad Oris. I came across a guy from Singapore who said he had a really good Super Avenger (about 2 years ago now). Till then I'd only seen the really bad ones. So I had to have it. I was done buying reps until the two tone ultimate BCE came out with the blue face. Then I was done. Then I saw a 116509 with a black face. Being a Daytona fan, I bought it. Then I was done. Then the Carrera caught my eye so I ordered it from Silix, but he only charges shipping on every other watch so I bought a Tag Indy on the same order. Then I was done...

I've had a two tone Sub for a couple of years now with no problems, but I've only worn it 15 or 20 times. I don't thing I'd ever get a full gold rep, and I wouldn't wear a plated watch on a daily basis. I don't trust the process enough. But for an occasional watch, it's probably okay.

Congrats. That's actually the first chronograph I ever bought. Looks really good on brown croc strap. The hands don't really bother me as much as they seem to bother everyone else, as I think the dial more accurate. Wear it well.

A South Carolina man who stored his severed leg in a barbecue smoker that was later auctioned off is locked in a custody dispute with the North Carolina man who found it.
John Wood's leg was amputated near the knee after a 2004 airplane crash. He asked doctors to give it to him so he could be buried as a whole man when he died.
The limb, which Wood had kept in the smoker in a storage facility after he lost his home, was bought by Shannon Whisnant last Tuesday in an auction held by the storage company because Wood had missed his monthly payments.

WOW! That watch is insane. One of the best designs I'd ever seen

Lite version's not 28k....it's 21k....if silix's description says it's 28k.....it sure is misleading.....
If he says it's 28K then I don't doubt it, but you don't have to take his word for it. Look at the pictures (oh yeah, I forgot about that "new" movement). He also states that it's sapphire, where the light is glass I believe.

guess that info was wrong

That's just hideous.

I wish. Then I'd go pick it up for myself. The AMVOX2 is still in my shoret list, though. Been hinting at the wife for a couple months now. Hope she gets the hint.
Good luck with that, lol! The Amvox2 doesn't say anything to me. Kin of reminds me of an old clock radio of my dad's from the late 60s - early 70s

Is the prize a shiny new genuine JLC? Where do I pick it up?

5) Jaeger-LeCoultre
?

60mm is about a size 9.5, which is large (especially by Asian standards). If your friend's finger is 70mm around, then he'd need a size 13 ring which is actually huge (a Z+1 in UK sizes)

I almost peed myself when I read this:
This watch is rare and hard to find (I was on a 6 month waiting list for this watch). Luckily for you, you may own it today.I imagine he emailed Watchsilix and said "Can you get me a Breitling for under $20?" and it took Jay 6 months to find one.

Narikaa said it was quartz in the initial post, if I recall correctly. Shame really, I'd buy it in a second at the price he listed if it was auto. Even one of those $3 17 jewel movements.

Why did you do this to me?

Scan it larger - might be an interesting read.
One the other hand - sucks to be you, sorry to hear that. I used to be paranoid ordering stuff in Canada (we actually do have tough customs enforcement), fortunately they care more about tax evasion than counterfeiting.
-
Canada's been on the global radar for years now. Here's a quote from 2005:
In fact, the coalition says China -- notorious for being the single largest manufacturer of counterfeit items -- offers better enforcement against counterfeit products than Canada.Gotta love it!

Im not that concerned either but my daytona running 4 secs a day fast is just enough to annoy me...i want it to be +/- 1sec is which is within COSC specs...Also, does anyone actually wash there watch with warm water and soap?? I would think soap would be harsh on the SS...
Cosc is -4/+6, so if your Daytona is only gaining 4 seconds a day, it's keeping time as well as a genuine Rolex would. If you want +/- 1 second, go to Wal-Mart and get a Timex, otherwise, congratulations - seems like you got a good one.

Here's the pic from Overstock.com ($1620.89)

That's the IWC SL chronograph (the DaVinci). It comes in a few variations and is powered by the JLC Mecaquartz engine. I think they go for between 1500 and 3000 dollars.

I'm sure the pickups will probably be really weak. I bought a gain booster for one of my guitars on ebay, and it worked for beefing up the sound (After changing the pots it sounds pretty close to my EMG Kerry King setup on my LP) Can't afford to buy a ton of guitars and then swap out all the parts - it would be cheaper just to get one decent guitar as the cost of pickups, bridges, pots, nuts starts to add up, not to mention the trouble of replacing them all. But if your EVH ends up being a decent guitar though, then I guess it would be well worth it.
