  1. That is a HORRIBLE rep! Ick! As an aside I notice that Tag had a Grand Carrera chrono strapped to Lewis Hamilton's wrist at the Australian GP yesterday. He's obviously too much of a hot property to be wearing an F1 Quartz any more (or maybe it will be back at the next race! )
  2. This sort of delay is not at all unusual. The fastest delivery I had from China to UK was just under a week, but that was exceptional. Typically it takes anywhere from about 10 to 20 days for the package to arrive, so I really wouldn't worry unless you still haven't received it in a week's time.
  3. I have a Navitimer in blue, and it's definitely noticeably darker than the gen. Also, I bought it on leather and it came with a BLACK strap of horrible quality. I have since put it on a Di-Modell jumbo blue leather strap and it's transformed the watch and made me want to wear it all over again (in fact I am wearing it today). The blue may be too dark, but it looks smart nevertheless. For accuracy to the gen, however, I would choose the white over the blue face.
  4. Hmmm. I notice that Josh's site now has no Hublot items at all (not even any Hxxxxx items!) I agree that the big problem here isn't the likes of us rep-collectors, it's entirely down to people passing off reps as genuine. Let's face it, none of us (OK, hardly any of us) is going to take a rep into an AD. But if you bought one for a few $000 believing it to be real, you might very well do just that. And that's how the manufacturer becomes aware of the problem. There's no doubt that what they really want is to have no reps of their watches at all, but having them knocking around amongst the likes of us isn't much of a threat (anyone here bought a gen HBB? No-one?) As soon as they start finding their way into the hands of people who believe them to be gen then it's a BIG problem - they're losing (potential) sales to the sorts of people who can actually afford their watches in the first place. Plus when the oh-so-reliable Asian 7750 dies at some point in the future, or the famous stick-on letters on the rotor start dropping off, Joe Watchbuyer says to himself "Jeez, this Hublot is a piece of xxxx, I'm never buying another one, and what's more I'll tell all my buddies at the yacht club/golf club to steer clear too".
  5. Notice it still has "BR01" on the buckle however!
  6. Now we all know where Narikaa is going to send your watch if it needs fixing...
  7. Another happy SFSO owner here! The white Steelfish is a very pretty thing, and mine arrived from Andrew yesterday. I ordered the bracelet because I knew I'd want the option of wearing with a bracelet and I could always grab a strap for it later. Well after a day of wear, I have to say the bracelet was more comfortable than I first feared. Only problem is my arm is ready to drop off with the sheer weight of the thing so I'm going to have to get myself a strap pretty sharpish. I've seen the nice pics of the white SFSO on Breitling blue rubber and brown leather but I'd be interested to hear opinions from others (and maybe some pics) about what strap they think suits this watch best. I'm inclined to go for black, but I'm never sure about a black strap with an off-white face.
  8. I broke one too - this is obviously a common problem. However I have another rep that uses a pin that goes right through rather than a spring pin. Adopting this idea, I cut a piece of paper-clip to size (slightly narrower than the bracelet) as this was just the right diameter to fit the hole, put a small bend in it with pliers to make sure there would be some tension and then inserted it. It's not perfect, but has been in use for some time now with no problems. I'm not convinced I feel happy with my link being held on by a paper-clip mind you, but as long as it doesn't drop off...
  9. This has been on my wish list for a while but the reports of noisy rotor have always put me off. Now I've seen it with the chunky leather strap and deployment I want it even more. So my question is, how easy is it to grease the rotor without risking killing the movement?
