  1. That looks pretty good JMB. That may be a solid option. How was the printing on it? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  2. I do love a roulette date wheel. So that may definitely be in the cards. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  3. Yeah Woof, I did see that thread and got about halfway through it. That's tonight's reading assignment to go through before I purchase everything. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  4. Thank You Steve. So then that settles it. So here is the order: 5512 with A2836 movement Either Yuki or EBay dial T125 crystal I think that should work. Thank you everyone for the information, and I'll be sure to post up once its all complete. Thanks Again Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  5. OK I just heard back from a member that had the same idea as me, and his movement did have a date disk on it. Can it be that simple as just a dial and hand swap? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  6. Thank You very much Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  7. Good to know. I saw the wholesale outlet ones, but if they suck then that's a no go. So who has a 5512 that they wanna take apart? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  8. Or possibly just add the date wheel, because there are plenty of datewheels on the bay? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  9. Thanks for that. I didn't take into account the stem height difference. But ofrei has the movements so they are accessible. Will there be any special movement holders that I will need, or will everything just drop in. Also, should I just get the 2836 clone movement from josh and do a dial/hand swap. That seems like it could be the easiest way, unless I'm missing something. His more expensive 5512 has a clone 2836, so that should work OK? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  10. Alright, so here is where I am at: Josh 5512 Case Yuki Dial and Hands, as they are made for the 2824 ETA 2824, has the correct beat rate, and the date And a T125 Crystal until I can find the T144, although I've seen different posts regarding the crystal, but the Clark ones are cheap enough that I can try both Any issues with this build? Thanks in advance.
  11. So Woof, the 2846, is the same as the 2824 just with the slower beat rate, and less jewels. Also, the 5512 does 100% have the 26mm opening to fit everything?Just want to make sure before I start sourcing everything for it. Thanks
  12. So after using the fabled Search function ( was on Tapatalk before, and search sucks on that), here is what I'm coming up with: Josh 5512 - Will it take the 26mm Yuki Dial??? I know the Crown Guards are stumpy, but its ok, hyper accuracy is not an issue. ETA 2824 to fit the Yuki Dial Yuki Dial and Hands Clark 127 or 125??? seeing as how the Yuki stuff is for ETA it should work? or Option B: Buy the 5512 with the ETA Clone, and use the movement and crown from that, and then just swap the dial/hands/ crystal with the above mentioned? Option B sounds good on paper, but does it work? All in all should be under $500 Thanks in advance
  13. So the real question is does a 125 fit a 1680? I'm not really concerned with hyper accuracy, I've just always loved the snowflake, and a Gen is out of the question at the moment, so if I can build one up in the $500 price range, that would be perfect. 14. OK, so that's not too bad then. So really its just a case and dial, and as long as its an eta/clone, all should be well? Also seeing as its going to be a date version, then a Clark crystal would be in order, to accommodate the date function?Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  15. Hello, I was wondering what the ingredients are for building a snowflake. I understand the Yuki or NDT dial, buy my question is more about the case and the DWO. Is it supposed to be a 1680 case or a 5513. I am looking at the date version, so I was thinking a MBK 1680 as a base, and then where to? Also, where to find a DWO? Thanks in advance Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
  16. Switch the WM9 to a bond nato and that solves the weight issue. Just a thought. Thanks, John
  17. I tried to order a black V2 from Josh last month, and yup it was out of stock. So I bought a BR02 instead. I am rather upset by this though, as I was really looking forward to a replacement to my PO. Oh well, maybe they will bring it back.
  18. Thanks. Now the hunt for a local rep friendly watch smith begins.
  19. Hello, I just received my new SA White Battons, and I am having a little bit of a problem. First off, the watch is stunning. If you are on the fence with this one, don't be, its beautiful. But the problem that I'm having is with the movement. It has the A7750, and the chrono function is not working. Basically you push the 2 o'clock pusher to start the chrono. The chrono starts. Then you have to push the 4 o'clock pusher, and then the 2 o'clock pusher again to stop it. You can't just push the 2 o'clock pusher twice to start/stop. The reset works fine, and everything goes back correctly. Basically I need opinions as to whether you think it will eventually work or if it is going to have to make the long trip back to china. Any opinions are much appreciated. Thank You, John
  20. I have the Navy Regatta Auto, that I got from ebay. PM me for the dealer info. got about 40% off of list. My buddy that only wears Gen IWC's saw it tonight and said that the inner bezels rotate smoother that his Gen Cousteau. Overall very happy with the watch.
  21. Hello, First I would like to say what a great resource this forum is. You guys are all aces in my book. Second, with the help of this forum, I ordered my first replica, a PAM 104 from Josh at perfectclones88.com. The watch arrived to New Jersey in 4 days from the time that it was ordered. Awesome. The watch was perfect, and Josh was top notch with the communication. I will definitly be ordering from him again. Thanks again Josh. But now I am on a hunt for new straps! I have found ones that I like but the problem is the buckle. I would like the Pre-V Buckle with the correct Panerai Logos in polished steel. Guys, again this is an awesome forum and thanks for having it. Thanks again, cyphion
