So after a lengthy wait, my 16710 case is finally here. Looking at everything, I think that it looks pretty good. It has the small crown, guards look good, bezel looks good, dial looks really good, and the hands look good. So needless to say I am pretty happy. Now I'm just waiting for the movement to come in, and then off to PB for the assembly and work. So, what do you think, is it a solid base? Everyone's input is greatly appreciated. So I was changing the insert on my GMT last night, and went in to far and popped the crystal. I know, rookie mistake. So seeing as to how I did this, I am going to replace the crystal with a Clark one. It is a 16700 built from the 16570 Explorer 2 case. I know that it needs the 295C2 crystal, but what about the gasket? Do I need a 2.5, 2.7, or 3.0mm one? Also, I know its a noob question, but where does the gasket go? Lastly, does anyone know where to get the little o-ring that goes in between the retaining ring and the case. Mine has seen better days. PolexPete, Now that I ordered the H4 setup, the movement is going to come with the ETA datefont. Should I also grab one of the TC DWO? I know that its made for a 2824-2, so will it fit on the 2893? Thanks, John

Girls in Texas are definitely hot. So have fun. As for the watches, I've travelled out of the states wearing reps and had no issues. So I can't imagine travelling into them with issues, as I've had to come home. I personally would just take the rep, as if something happens to it, its not the end of the world. I remember when I was in Costa Erica, wearing my SSD, pretty inebriated, and didn't have a care in the world for bumping into things. Can't do that with a Gen. @ JPZ and Monito I asked these same questions, and ended up just buying a MBK setup. Comes with everything except the movement.

And...Movement ordered also. This is a slippery slope, this watch building hobby.
