My brother's SMP rep is full of scratches and dings, and it's probably the most handsome rep I've seen. Maybe some members remember my post from Dec, 2006. See it again HERE.
One of my black gen's looks worse than that (except for the pearl). But that is mighty impressive for any watch, especially a rep.

I have THREE GEN Omega Seamasters, and the bands on all of them are very easy to scratch. As stated above, they are very easy to repair as well. A trick on the GEN Omega forums is to buy a green and yellow Scotch Brite pad and use the green abrasive side to "polish" the brushed steel look back into the band.

New Jersey, Omega's service center is in New Jersey. They will also polish the case and band in their full service price. I never had the stones to send my gens there however as I have read too many horror stories about their poor service.
