  1. It turns out my dial was a little off. I replaced the date wheel and the problem was still there so I removed one of the dail feet and that game me enough room to center the date.
  2. I added a gen autoworks module. Still waiting on the new date wheel. In the middle picture you can see the difference between the yuki and Gen. When I received the autoworks it was bone dry. This is the first time I have disassembled and oiled any watch parts, but after studying youtube videos and oil charts everything came together and the rotor spins freely and silent.
  3. I have not installed a gen date wheel. I just ordered it. The dail is a remanufactured one. Does it look bad? What are the signs. At think point I might sell the whole project. If someone is interested PM me. The case , case back are gen.
  4. I could not reshape the jumper to right size to correct the alignment issue. I ordered a gen jumper and installed it. Same problem as before. I ordered a new date wheel. Keep your fingers crossed
  5. I will try reshaping the jumper to see if I can fix it.
  6. After doing some research and removing the date wheel, it seems that the date wheel jumper, part number 3135-614, is noted shaped properly. The jumper is shown with the bottom arrow. I hope this fixes the problem, if not then I might need to replace the date wheel plate, part number 3135-600.
  7. I have a yuki 3135 and the date wheel sits a little low in the date window. I've never had this issue before. I was thinking about replacing the date wheel jumper but before I throw money at the problem I was wondering if anyone had some feed back? Here is a picture for reference:
  8. I used the Yuki 5.3 small tube crown. http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6784664/10289013.htm The 162xx takes the smaller tube size.
  9. This build starts with these ingredients 1. Gen 16200 case with engine turned bezel 2. Yuki 3135 Serviced by tickleshoes. 3. Refurb.Roman dial from ebay. 4. Yuki crown 5. Yuki bracelet 6. Generic 3135 / 3035 hands from ebay This build started by gather all the parts. Tickleshoes did a great job servicing this yuki 3135 movement and in fact run at COSC. Installing the dial: Installing the hands: It's starting to look like a watch now. Getting ready to install in case Getting ready to install case screws: Installed in case. The Yuki 3135 looks good and make the building process very easy because gen. parts fit and the movement fits in the case with out a movement ring as required in 28XX builds. In the case and ready for the bracelet. Wrist shot: Test results after service and bracelet as been installed This was a very fun build I really like the roman dial in white. Thanks again to Tickleshoes for servicing the movement, he does great work!
  10. I bought a bracelet for a gen 15000 from Yuki and it finds fine. I also bought a rep 20mm for a 16200 gen case that has not arrived yet.
  11. If you go the explorer route the movement wouldn't matter because the explorer doesn't have a date window.
  12. I might have confused the sa3135 and the sh3135. Sorry.
  13. The sa3135 is a 2836 that has engraving to make to look like a poor attempt at a gen movement. So a sa3135 is a different foot print than the yuki.
  14. My opinion is that if your buying a rep. get the eta movement. The eta has standard parts that are easy to source. the yuki is a very good copy of the 3135 rolex movement. I used a yuki in my latest build because I used a gen case and the yuki is a direct drop in. The yuki also used alot of gen 3135 parts. I hope this helps
  15. I'm using the yuki 3135 in a 16200 gen case. If I didn't have a gen case I'd just use an eta movement. The yuki also lets you use a gen dial with out modifications
  16. Does the y3135 use the Rolex stem and hands? what other parts are interchangeable?
  17. I'm going to purchase the yuki3135 with full service fromTickleshoes. I looked at using a eta 2824, but didn't want to mess with swapping the cannon pinion to a #4 and dealing with the date wheel overlay.
  18. That's a good point about parting out the watch.
  19. I'm looking to purchase a clone 3135 movement. Does anyone know a good source?
  20. A 15000 caseback will fit the 16200 case as well, I tried the back from other watch I have. The caseback would not provide a water tight seal. it looks like Rolex used the same size threads and backing for the 34mm and 36mm.
  21. Will I need a longer cannon pinion ?
  22. Thanks for the info. Will a eta 2836 stem line up correctly in a 16200 case or would a eta 2824 work better?
  23. I might build this into a 1016 Explorer. Not sure. I got a smoking deal on the case so I couldn't say no
