  1. Hi Guys

How can we go about getting replacement parts for the breitlings just like Ofrei.com and Omega? I want to replace the Bezel as the pearl bugs me :)

I brought a genuine deployment strap today in choc leather, I just need to find a well priced clasp now!

    Thanks

    Kris

  2. Arrived today guys, really happy but there is one small brown/tan mark on the inside (underneath the glass) near the 9, does anyone else have this?

Quick product photography with my black jumper, I am ordering a gen tan leather strap and gen deployment strap shortly!

Love the watch, the glass disappears and the lume is great!

  3. The Dial will fit no problem but the hands will be a problem.

The hour and minute hands are ok but the subdial hands and center chrono hand will not fit due to the different size of New Asian movement and ETA.

The Zigmeister can overcome this though if necessary.

Other than that the ETA will fit fine, Asian stem and crown will fit no problem.

I will be doing this swap myself as my Asian movement just broke. Its one of the new style Asian movements with nice engraving, blue screws as well as the rotor being engraved 'Omega 3035', or something.

But its the dirtiest movement ive seen, dirt and RUST, yes rust in the movement, really bad!

Thanks ajoesmith, great info. Ok, well sounds like new hands all round for the watch. I'm stilling waiting for a ebay seller to confirm a good gen dial he can source me...

Do you know if the rotor will just go on the ETA movement from the asian? Dnt really want an undecorated rotor in the watch..

  4. I just got mine from Joe. I wish all my transactions were this smooth. Thanks again Joe. I can't wait to have this put into my Old Case Breitling ChronoAvenger.

    Thanks again!

    "Rower"

If you have them at $275, Ill buy one (this time)

Please let me know, can DD money straight away. To 'decorate' the rotor, what would be required? for SMP Chrono

    Thanks

  5. I have the ETA too, and am going to get gen hands, because mine are short, but the rest of the watch is very nice.

I'd like to get A/R done---what's involved in that? Can a local watchmaker do it, is it a big deal, or expensive??

    Thanks for any input.

Guys, do the gen hands fit the rep SMP Chrono ? The asian 7750 28800 movement?

    Thanks

  6. lanikai, as far as the shipping- I didn't run into any problems. The strap took a few weeks to get, once payment had been sent. I haven't had any problem with customs issues, being in Canada...from China, HK, or even Europe.

I think you'll be pleased with Aaron's work.

I was torn between this and more of a tan/khaki colour, but after trying out a lighter strap on my white-dialed Chopard GTXL, I wasn't that sold on the lighter strap, lighter dial combo. At the same time, I don't like the gen Breitling rubber strap on the white-dialed SFSO. I find the contrast black/white isn't that complimentary- but to each his own....

I've got a black dialed Steelfish that I've been waiting for since early August that's going to get the rubber strap...

Which dealer did you get the buckle from?

  7. A couple of shots of the white-dialed Steelfish SuperOcean and a genuine alligator strap I bought from HKtan. The colour of gator strap is 'titanium'. I have the gen black rubber strap as well, but that seemed a little too harsh for the white dial, and is reserved for the black dialed version that I'll hopefully receive soon...

    Notice the Breitling deployant-

Nice, is the buckle gen? the deployment clasp I mean? Gen strap too? What was the cost for both if you dont mind me asking... did you get them from the AD?

  8. I dunno, seems to me that if you're going to take it to a watchmaker to have it pressure tested, might as well have him waterproof it again, even if you think or dealer has told you it is waterproof. Can't hurt.

    Then have it pressure tested.

Im bored today, I might go to my local watch maker and ask him if he can tighten/seal the case back and waterproof test. I hear they can test without subjecting to water first...

  9. Wow, wish this was posted a month earlier, lol! I bought a Breitling rubber strap from this seller over a month ago, and still haven't recieved it. He keeps telling me that his shipment of straps is on backorder and keeps asking me to wait another week...this has gone on for the past month, i paid on september 12th! Just last night, i opened a dispute with paypal to try to get my money back.

Hi kdirty, oh no :( sorry to hear that! Definitely get your money back and shop elsewhere, he seems to have alot of product but fails in service/delivery. I hope you manage to resolve it!

  10. OK...Thanks Dastrix! I'm on the hunt for another seller...ironically I was just getting ready to purchase, however I've put on the brakes....thanks again for the heads up.

    Cheers,

    rbscott B)

My pleasure, there are quite a few rubber strap sellers, so you've got choice! I think id rather pay AD prices then buy through a untrust worthy seller!

  11. Great... :o I was just getting ready to buy two Rubber SFSO straps from this guy....the straps are buy it now @ 89.00 usd each....Now I'm not sure if I should buy from this guy.....He seems to have good feedback....

I actually just sent him a question too, regarding what mm width I need 22mm or 24mm for the SFSO.....I should know this, but I wanted to be sure, so if anyone would be so kind to help out, it would be greatly appreciated....I actually did a search here on RWG, but for some reason I couldn't find any conversation regarding this, although I'm sure it's been talked about in the past....

    Cheers,

    rbscott

Rbscott, beware. he was very helpful to me in emails, but in the end he stuffed me over. I'd suggest you buy elsewhere.

  12. Hi guys

spoke with this guy yesterday about a gen leather strap, he offered it to me at alot more than his auction was currently bidding for and I mentioned I'd bid on the auction for the cheaper price, he agreed after offering it to me again off auction and said good luck. I go to bid this morning, and he had blocked me as a buyer because he knew I could bid at it cheaper!

I see he sold the leather strap for $58 USD, some $42 LESS than I was prepared to pay (I would have paid $105) as a result he's now sold it far less and made a loss. I bet any money he will renig the deal with the winning bidder, as he has relisted the item for alot more (over $160 USD)

    BEWARE DODGY SELLER

here is the item in question:
