hmm ur talking about the stop watch right? well i think the bottom counter is the hours and the top counter is the 30 min counter and i think every 2 rotation in this dial and the hours counter moves 1..
as to the date font.. it is off.. especially the "8" check it out
Ah ok, ive ordered a proper date wheel anyway.
UH OH look what i've found.
THis is NOT normal right????
-
Well, I received it today. Its realllllly nice. The date appears fine to me, but im not 100% sure. Will see tomorrow when its the first. I took the watch into a Tag dealer and had 2 links taken out, the dealer commented 'nice watch, look after it'
So it passed a basic dealer test hehe
I have a question on basic use and the 30minute timer. It appears that its out of sync? Am I right in saying that at 12.30 it should read 30 as in one full revolution, and at 1am it should have done two revolutions? I just dont understand how to read this dial and the manual doesnt really say much! The hour and also second dials are fine and the movement appears fine also
No scratches or marks, so im happy there. The subdial spacing appears to be every so slighty out, but really when i looked at the gen and mine, I couldnt really see a difference.
Overall, very happy. Just need to work out the 30minute timer thing! and now see if it holds time
Thanks for your help guys, hopefuly someone can answer my question
Cheers
Kris

as far as i know it does, ill put you down for another one.
By the way, you do know that the dial and hands have to be removed to replace the date wheel.
Everyone please note, im only organizing the group buy, i will not be carrying out any date wheel mods.
Yep, thats fine! When i get a service on the reps is when the datewheels go in...

ok updated list as of 30th august 2007

After a year of collecting reps; I get bore on my Rolex-collections & sold them all. As I need a SS watch for my weekend causal wear; I start my search again. I read the UPO review from By-Tor (Thx buddy! U're the best always!) & the Orange Planet-Ocean came across my sight.
This's the 3rd watch I got from Puretime Angus; good communication(Both of us are HK'er), fast delivery(1 day after payment) & persnoal QC(I hate dropshipper).
My comment:
~ No crook Omega logo
~ Nice AR although theyre light
~ Extremely heavy (I like this kind of feeling....More Solid)
~ Nice Engravement on case back + serial no
~ Absolutely accurate +4sec/day (It's regulated by my faithfully watchsmith for sure!)
~ Nice Lume for my standard
~ No loose bucklet
X Buckle not well polished; the edge are sharp
X A tiny white dot at the right hand corner of date-windows
X A hairy scratch under the sapphire; difficult to notice but it really out there....
X the lume of pearl is not bright as marking & hands
OK! Here we go~~
Excellent! So, who is PT, whats the site and how do I get a PO?

G'day "toiger" -
Sydney born and bred...
you?
Hello from Randwick
-
No problem. Just have your watchsmith swap the rotor when you transplant the movement.
I thought it might be as easy as that
Perfect! And so with the genuine 7750 ETA in there and a Gen rotor (if I brought one) it would be basically an all gen movement?
Thank you

I think he means the issue with the rings being to thick and touching the 12 and 6 markers where on the gen there's a little space between the rings and the markers.
exactly!!
-
The date wheel and also the main dial to fix the spacing of the 12/6 sub dials. Does anyone know? Further are gen movements available?
THanks
Kris

I had both Carrera with badly shaped rotor.
The rotor was hitting the case back. I had to order Genuine Rotor (pretty expensive almost 30

I would think that with a little looking, you could find a watchmaker in the Sydney area who would work on your reps. Certainly the ones with an eta movt. My watchmaker has even serviced/fixed a couple of my chinese 21j movts. The biggest problem is the unavailability of parts- not so much for an eta movt, but things like crowns, tubes, etc. which are rep parts. I had to order a rep crown from China so he could fix one of my subs! Look for the small independent guy that does his own work. You just got to ask around.
Ok,ill do that. If I wanted to obtain a ETA rep date wheel for the Carrera is that a generic part or is it Tag Specifc?
Thanks!

Z is on hols until Sept.
I think marrickville boy is coming back to Sydney some time soon, he may be able to assist.
Send him a PM.
Offshore
Nice break! ok cool, ill shoot marrickville boy a msg
cheers!

Hi Guys
PM sent to The Zigmeister, but no reply. Whats the best way to grab him (gently) for a quote on a service? Or, are there are good guys around that can assist? Im in Sydney but happy to send the watch OS for a good service.
Thanks
Kris

crazy. No one is interested in this rep?
Just ordered a black rep chrono carrera from King, who said the date issue is now fixed?? She told me 'not to worry'
What do you think?? Would be great if they resolved that witout having to put in a gen date wheel or similar...
-
if you cant find any thing to do with The Zigmeister then you are right, Not very well indeed, try looking here
Had found him after I typed. Sent a PM
-
The fault i see there is with the 12/6 subdials, on the gen the numbers almost touch the silver ring of the subdial but on the rep they are spaced a little further in, although this is a flaw it is small and unnoticable, yes the people here will shout and cry about 0.010 of a mm but in the real world you will be paying 10% of the price for 90% of the watch and lets face it it is a great looking watch. You could install a gen date wheel or a swiss 7750 but if you got it serviced by The Zigmeister it should be just as good as the gen!
My 2cts
Your right, im fussing. Who is The Zigmeister and what does he do? Ive searched the forums (seems not very well)
-
Welcome, i belive that the rep has saphire same as the gen, i doupt that the hardness can be tested to see wether it is harder but it would be easliy good enough.
Thanks Andy! Thats good enough for me

Hi Guys
Below is the image from Joshs site, can anyone confirm this does/doesn't have the issue with the width of the 6/9 dials? As far as I know, the only real issue is the date font - correct?
Thanks
here is the Gen picture, spacing looks different
-
Guys, is the one above with the red hand exhibit any of the 6/9 dial width issues? Does andrew sell only the 7750 asian version?
Thanks!
-
if u mean the ring chapter dials, my silver dial black ring version has the size spot on
Where did you get your copy from? Do you know if the black face/red hand has the same issue?
Seems like your style is the way to go...
-
Guys, the 6/9 dial issue being wider. can a mod be completed to fix this to match the gen? ie : replace the face or something? im a newbie but this kind of thing is important. What do you think?
Tag Carrera Chrono received!

It wasnt the dealer, i sat there and watched him remove the link. He commented on how nice the watch was![;)](https://rwg.cc/datastore/emoticons/emoticons/default_wink.gif)
I've emailed my dealer, no reply after 2 days
still waiting... Do you think it can be polished out? Who would be the best person to do this if my dealer fails to assist me (Im just about to buy an Omega rep so ill be buying elsewhere if they don't assist me)
Yep, loving the watch. Its great, i went to the snow this weekend so it sat at home as I didnt want it marked if the dealer wanted to take it back and exchange..
Worked out the hand/dials! Thanks for your help
