  1. I just received Andrew's Latest Planet Ocean-an Orange model that I'm giving to my son for his 30th birthday-What a DAD! Pictures and glowing review to follow. Next I will receive Joshua's Tag Pro Golf with Box & Papers, which I am getting for my Golf Nut brother-reimbursement is expected. For me I have on order a Rose Gold PAM 231 from Joshua and a Vintage Marina Militare Destro from Angus. Plus I like the Gold and Leather Datona from Joshua and of course the elusive 187. It's going to be a great summer!
  2. No, I am not Orlando Bloom and I am not trying to drum up DVD sales for his cheezy movie, but I am attending a funeral in Elizabethtown, Kentucky this afternoon. Why, because an elderly cousin of my Mother-in-Law lived and died there. Can anyone guess which watch I'll be wearing? Answer when I get back tonight.
  3. I have one of the old styles and it's fine for what it is. I am going to pick one of the new ones up from Joshua for my golf Nut brother. He has the old one too and wears it whenever he plays. Last year when Tiger Woods won the British Open, he was given a Rolex President for the Trophy Presentation, but he wore HIS Pro Golf Tag and his Caddie wore the Rolex. Check out the picture. I'll let you know what my brother says when he tries out the new one from Josh.
  4. I don't understand all the hostility towards Stallone. He was a big Panerai fan before most of us ever heard of them. From what I understand he was a big invester and gets a lot of credit for the brand taking off and their new models. Panerai doesn't have paid celebrity spokespeople like so many other brands, but a lot of his Hollywood buddies wear them because of him. I'm not a huge Sly fan, but the first two Rocky Movies were great, Rambo I & II were good action films, "The Contender" was an interesting show where he showcased a PAM every week and even got Sugar Ray Leonard wearing them. I love Panerais and Stallone's done a lot for the brand and therefore he's OK with me. I'll buy a Slytech 202, wear it proudly and tell anyone who asks what Slytech means.
  5. I hear that the Slytech 202 will be available through a very reputable dealer as early as next week. It's a very nice piece and a little smaller, I think. Very similar look to the 187. I'd be interested.
  6. I have ordered a 187 from a "friend of a friend" who assures me that he can get them from a reliable source in Asia. I am hoping to have it next week and as soon as I do, I will post pictures. If it's as Quark's, I will also post this guy's e-mail address and you can contact him if you want. His price will be $399 shipped in the US; a little more for overseas delivery. My fingers are crossed.
  7. The Graham Swordfish...Lefty Version, of course!
  8. Andrew, this version looks great. As you know I am looking at the Orange PO for a birthday present for my son. I will order this version next week. Great work!
  9. 30 Reps and counting=1231 But if my wife asks, it's only about 10 but they all look alike and I keep changing the bands.
  10. I was in Italy last Spring and it is a watch lovers paradice! Rome, Venice and Florence all have shops with great watches in their windows and people with nothing to do but let you try on any of these beauties you want. The Panerai store in Florence is the original Officine Panerai store front. Very nice people, but I wouldn't advise wearing a rep in there. I didn't bring a Rep with me, but bought a cheap PAM from a street vendor in Rome. Not a great rep but a good beater. Have a great trip.
