  1. Great! Thanks folks. Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  2. Can anyone help ID this watch Gosling wore in the movie Song to Song? I'm still very new to this watch business and definitely couldn't tell one vintage piece from another... Thanks!

Let's say I'm on the lesser end of talent and equipment compared to you sir! Wonderful shots!!
  4. Would the justice system go easy on you if the purpose of the armed robbery was for Rolex parts rather than feeding a drug habit? The options are there!

Actually, turns out that I have a 50mm f1.4... Was put in the cupboard and forgotten about a year ago! Idiocy!
  6. Sorry to be a pain, but I can't seem to find the link to look at this purchase. If it in the trading or watches section? Thanks! Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

At the moment all I have is a 15-50... Now the question - a rep or a new zoom? Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk
  8. Thank you for the welcome. Let's see how far this hobby (madness as you put it) can go!
  9. Hey everyone. Lovely forum you have! Lots of incredible advice and definitely more variety compared to most other watch forums. I've been on a bit of a watch journey recently. Decided to try and fix an old Tissot watch that my father owned by myself. Succeeded in that, so I went to a few yard sales and bought a few more watches to fix up and quite enjoyed it. After jumping on some watch blogs, I discovered a world of watches that I never knew existed. Always knew of Rolex, TAG, Omega's etc though never in my wildest dreams did I ever think there were THAT many old (as well as new) brands still around making watches. I for some reason thought it was somewhat of a dead industry that was going with the rest of history. Little did I know... From there I became addicted to browsing hundreds of manufacturers and was in awe at the design and ingenuity that exists in these tiny mechanical machines. After a while, I got a little bored of this, seeing that (in my eyes) most manufacturers superficially have very similar designs. I next went onto reading about the history of brands and deciding on one that I liked best. I don't know whether it's all the advertising in every National Geographic magazine I read from my youth, but Rolex seems to resonate with me the most. Love the history. These days I'm enjoy reading about the evolution of the Rolex models as well as trying to decide which will be my first gen, as well as rep purchase. Who knows where this hobby will take me next! Cheers all.

Love that Milgauss pic! Captures the feeling of the setting I feel it should be used. Unfortunately after a recent trip to the US, and the dropping of my half-decent zoom outside the Capitol, I have nothing but a wide lens to express the love of the few pieces that I have...

  14. Pardon the ignorance, but what does 'BP' stand for? Thanks
  15. Hi All! Does anyone by some chance still have this file? Recently have become addicted to the world of Rolex, and would love to have a gander at this! Thanks
