  1. According to my user name I am a dentist. Funny thing is I am terrified of the dentist, those damn shots kill. It is much better being on the giving end then the receiving.
  2. im running safari and it works and looks great. keep up the good work
  3. I talked to an AD the other day who told me that a few changes are in order for the Rolex subs and one of the changes is to make the band heavier and do away with the hollow links. He said the prices of the ss sub will jump again in february another 5 to 10 percent and be in the 5500 dollar range.
  4. Thanks for the tips guys. i wish i woulda read this at work cause i got a hella lot of latex gloves there. i will try the duct tape trick. wish me luck. Dustin
  5. Thanks guys for the info. the watch is still working (and still losing a second or two per hour) but i dont know if it is running on the power reserve or not. i will pop the back and check it out when i get off of work and take a look inside. i dont have the tools here to get the caseback off. by the way if i dont have a case back remover what is the next best thing so i dont scratch the hell out of the caseback? any suggestions? any way i hope its not the thingamagig or the whatsamacallit that is off. thanks for the help again. Dustin
  6. I was at work today and my tag link chrono started making a funny noise. When i would shake a little before you could feel and hear it winding now it sounds as if somthing is bouncing off of the case back. it makes a klinking noise as if something is loose and bouncing around back there. I have never opened up a rep before and was wondering what this may be. So far the watch hasnt died yet but i am worried that it isnt winding cause it doesnt make the winding noise or vibrate on my wrist any more. any help would be greatly appreciated. Is this a quick fix if i pop the case back or do i need to find a watchsmith to do the work. thanks in advance Dustin
  7. I own both the po and the tag link, and the link is far and away the better bracelet. The po has alot of sharp edges and is a bit cheap feeling on the design of the clasp. It has good weight to it but the link is so much smoother and the clasp is beautiful. It has a very tight feel whereas it feels as if the po may come unclasped while i am wearing it. The tag is such a beauty of a rep i will probably buy a few just in case they stop making them. I was not the biggest tag fan but this watch really has won me over. Solid in every aspect and we will just have to see how the 7750 holds up over time.
  8. In my opinion this is the best looking watch that tag heuer has ever made. It looks so clean and sleek especially the all black. Joshua just released this one in the quartz and it looks promising. A few flaws to it that dont need to be beaten up on this forum and berated but it looks promising. A few changes to it and i will be all over it. I cant wait until this and the PO chrono come out in an auto movement.
  9. Before everyone busts my balls for the crappy pic, relax. i just took it where i was sitting cause i keep saying i will post a pic and never do. Anyway, I got this one from Joshua who really is a great dealer. I have only purchased a few reps from this site but every one i have purchased has been above and beyond my expectations. I own a few gens and was wary of reps, but they have really impressed me as have the dealers featured here at rwg. The quality of this particular rep compared to the genuine is amazing. Apart from the off centered date wheel there are really no glaring, stand out discrepenies. Its funny because everyone posts these larger than life pics and point out miniscule problems, but once you get it on your wrist you do not hardly notice the probs and 99% of the world wont see the probs either. Anyway sorry about hijacking the thread with my rambling.
  10. I just got a beautiful blue dialed one from joshua and decided to remove my own links. I am pretty retarded when it comes to these thing but i did it and really was surprised at how easy it turned out to be. You have to push the pin out at the end of the bracelet where the "links" meet the solid portion of the bracelet. You need to lay the watch on its side and push towards the crown and pushers. Mine came with arrows pointing this way so i got a thumbtack and a pair of pliars and pushed the pin about 3 mms out and then pulled the pin carefully with needle nose pliars . be carefull not to bend it cause its gotta go back in. Once that is out the links come apart from the center. You will need a small screwdriver or a very sharp finger nail to then unscrew the next link. You will see what i mean once you get the first link off. i dont know all of the technical jargon but once you get the links portion of the bracelet seperated from the clasp portion it is a matter of unscrewing the next one. I will try to post some pictures to help demonstrate this. In the picture you will see a small hole to the left of the pin that looks like a screw, that is where you need to push out the pin (not the screw) or the pin to right side of that screw to make the links on that side shorter. In my tag i had to push towards the crown. Hope this helps at all. if you get that pin out and cant figure it out post again and i will take my band apart and take pics to show ya. Good luck. After my last fiasco with my AD trying to get links out of my PO, i figured i best do it myself and save everyone the headache. Good luck again. Dustin
  11. I just received the blue dialed chrono from josh and damn it looks sooooo nice. I need to remove a link in it but it is really a beautiful watch and the transaction with josh was awesome. definitly would recomend joshua. i will post some pics when i get off work . Dustin
  12. IS the swiss movement that much better than the modified asian? is it worth the extra 600 dollars? Will it last that much longer? any help to these questions would really be appreciated. Thanks Dustin
  13. That really is a beuatiful watch but the band doesnt do it justice IMO. But if you like it wear it well. Dustin
  14. Good luck with either, they are both great professions and allow you to waste alot of your day enjoying posts like these. Dustin
  15. Lets all lighten up a bit huh? He is just excited about purchasing a gen rolex. I think all of us would be a little bit excited so lets be happy for him huh? And look on the bright side, it boosted his posts number to like 6 or something so there is a little silver lining right. Anyway enjoy the rolex and i will be a bit jealous and not post anything about it. And Ubiquitous im not a huge rolex fan but which model is that on your signature? that is one i could go for. Dustin
