  1. I know I'm a little late to the party, I've watching it from afar on RWI but good job Admin/Mod Staff. You did the right thing. Who needs the caustic personality anyway. @Ken who is this r11 character anyway? Does he think everyone is lying? Oh BTW there is no conspiracy between RWI and RWG of that you can be assured. Mutual respect yes, collusion no. Sean K
  2. MJ watch service. You can talk to Alex. Here is a link to their site. Don't say "I've got a replica I want serviced". Just tell him you've got an asian 7750 and send it. BTW its way less than 700.00 usd. They are "aftermarket friendly" http://www.mjwatchservice.com Sean K
  3. I always have a hard time defining "not high prices" I don't think 150.00 usd is too high a price to pay for a really nice strap. If you want to take it a step further try Savage or Tootall they'll make you a custom handmade strap for 100.00 bucks or so. As was said before you could try TC Straps and get a pretty good deal they're not as nice as the MP or GEF line but they're pretty affordable. Sean K
  4. Just to let you know I did not see the original list Pugs. Sean
  5. Oh and just to add a little something. The vodka is something that won't be given. I've stored plenty in the bunker. @Pugs I don't think Hambone intended to imply everyone should run to the hills. I just think there are things in the US and other industrialized nations that we tend to take for granted. Quite a few in the US expect to do better than their parents. We have to change how it is we think. I live in a house at 36 that took my parents 20 year to move into. Not everyone is going to be able to buy their own home anymore. Apartments in the suburbs aren't going to be for the young and white trash. I myself have felt it. 85.00 to fill up the SUV its nuts. I bought a little Mazda 3 to run around in and the SUV sits in the garage for trips. I know thats sound arrogant like boo hoo you bought another car to let one sit, but two years ago that wouldn't have entered my mind. Sean K
  6. Thats funny Ryyannon. I just don't think we can sustain our dept here in the US. Our motto has always been well "will if we don't have the money we'll just work a little harder". Thats not going to cut it anymore. Not to mention GW has been using this county like his own little toy for 8 years. I can actually see the US and for the most part the rest of the world going into a sustained slump. Our middle class in the US is disappearing. I met with a financial planner and she told us that by the time my children are old enough to go to college, one in a private school like DePaul and the other in a public school like Northern Illinois I'll need 750,000 to send them. What middle to upper middle class family can afford that kind of hit. Which leads us to another dilemma, the middle class won't be able to educate which exacerbates the problem further separating the rich from the poor even more. Sean K
  7. Nice reply POTR. I just dug my bunker in the back yard after reading "The Road". Glad to see nothing has changed. I'll go back to my home now. @Hambone I know you're post was not meant to be combative in nature. @Pugwash. Although I agree with the fact I don't think there will ever be a full blown financial crash, some things are happening at least here in the US that I think will change the landscape here. There will be almost 1,000,000 bankruptcy filings here in the US in 2008 there was 800,000 in 2007. Unemployment is skyrocketing and I don't think its even close to peaking yet. The housing market is for crap. My house isn't worth what it was 2 years ago. There are fifteen houses for sale in the subdivision next to me. Do we even want to start talking about the environment? Its completely screwed. I'm not a big disaster guy but some strange things are coming. Sean K
  8. You know Ken you were one of the first people I spoke to on RWGjr over two years ago about using the force to choose watches. I've never been really controversial but here's one for you and I don't care if you like it or not. A short apology for Ken A certain unnamed rep watch dealer is a friend of mine. He's been on all the forums since the beginning of, well rep forums. He is a pompous, grating, abusive SOB thats a [censored] (censor that for obscenity) for anyone to get along with. Not mention he has insulted more people than any five people combined on in the entire rep community. But because he has some pretty powerful contacts and was a former PI and is in the same business I'm in and could potentially hurt me if a cross him I can't do a damn thing about him. I need to remain friends with him and continue to deal with his B.S. But on the flip side his delivery times and customer service have significantly improved since having a big flap on another forum. So even though I'm the head honcho keep on buying because nothing you say will change the fact that this dealer is here to stay. Sincerely Ken Sean K
  9. @John. I'll contest the fact that you've been on the forums longer for fear that we get into a "Who's Phallus is longer?" argument. At this point that makes no difference I can see you've been here awhile as our join dates are in the same month. I will say however that I've "used the search button" on you on every available rep forum to date and can't find a single thing tied to your user name. I haven't gone through every post so don't get your panties in a roe. You may have a different user names on the others but I have kept mine constant on all the boards so there is no confusion. The "I can't prove the numbers statement" is an argument of the absurd because neither of us has accurate numbers as to satisfied customers. So your point is just as false. I can only go by what I've read over the coarse of being on the boards and the majority of Joe threads are positive. If you have numbers to refute this opinion please provide for me. Maybe I'm reading what I want to read but no one has yet to come up with anything. Funny. BTW I have no problem with the ability of the forums to inform its members of potential scams. I do however think that a flip side needs to be shown as well. Oh and you said it yourself in your above statement, most of Joe's complaint are about time not workmanship, its a huge difference. If you don't want to wait 3 months for you watch, again don't send it to Joe. @ahcard. I paid 150.00 shipped to furnish and install for me an after market bezel insert and he lacquered the pearl on an LV sub. I have pics and I'll post a link to the pics on RWI. Since I charge a 150.00 minimum to walk in your door in my business I had no problem with those numbers. Thats for 10 minutes or an hour. Sean K
  10. This is the first time I've ever busted out this defense. YOU"VE GOT 36 POSTS ON THIS FORUM. I've been using the search button for friggin years. The 98% and 95% I used was for my own business. You use the search button and see how many satisfied customers Joe has had over the last two years and I promise you'll find the good far outweighs the bad. Use the search button. Sean K
  11. @John Who are the many? Please show me the many and and I'll get off the horse. 1/100 thats just crazy talk so I'm going to dismiss. If Joe had 1 in 100 satisfied customers he wouldn't be on any of the sites. @Pugs BTW I hope all is well with you. Hope Scotland it treating you fine. Many moons ago you were going to get together all the complaints that Joe had and I've never seen that posted. I would like to see that. Sean K
  12. I would say that the Mellow Yellow Big Bang is super "gay" Sean K
  13. @The Zigmeister. That really was a legitimate question for TT. I wasn't implying anything. As for Joe being a scammer I will continue to say that I don't believe that to be the case. You ask why The Zigmeister? Well of coarse its because Joe gives me a kick back for every watch he does. That was for you Andreww since you think you know everything, everything is a conspiracy. @The Zigmeister What happened to you and Joe? You were friends at one time. Something tells me this discord goes deeper than your strong feelings toward protecting the good people of this forum. And that is an outside observation, I really do respect you and your knowledge and the work you do for people. Truth is Joe's done some work for me and its always been exceptional. The people that I know across the boards that have dealt with him, 98% have been equally satisfied. The big complaint has always been time. The funny thing is its always the same guys that do the bashing with the same old posts. I'll sum it up this way, I'm a plumbing contractor and I do exceptional work. I would say that on average 95% of my customers are extremely satisfied both residential and commercial. The fact that 5% are either asshats or have a legitimate beef does not make me a bad contractor. You get the point I'm sure. Truth be told and I'm serious about this if people think Joe is too expensive then don't send your watches to him plain and simple. There is plenty of info on all the forums for and against him. More positive than negative I might add. @Andreww I'll tell you this like I've told you before. I have no hidden agendas. I just call them like I see them. Most who have spoken to me personally will tell you the same thing. Sean K
  14. Thats because you're so smart Andreww. Any chance you get to stir it huh? Sean K
  15. Honestly after looking at what was done to TT's piece you're right. I was distracted by all the pretty pictures. I'd still like to know what it cost. Sean K
