  1. Hi Frank, how's your Merc going?

    good to see you back!

I remember you had some very nice datejusts, when first appeared the arabic numerals on those dials... or am I wrong?

    still... great to welcome you.

    enjoy!

    cheers!

  2. That's the "aviator fantasy" model... spawned from the imagination of a bored watch assembler in China probably..

those subdials were used in lots of fantasy reps, such us quartz Speedmasters, quartz tags and others.

not a factory reproduction, just a pure fantasy model.

And quartz movements are inmortal... Some don't like them, I can live with them as a grab 'n go watches.

    cheers!

  3. Nice watches, strap combos are a fast way to make our reps look more like the real deal, and modding by the masters shows us amazing resuls.

thanks for the reviews, they aren't going unnoticed! thanks for sharing your thoughts, opinions and showing us the new facts of some very gorgeous pieces.

thanks! wear them in the best of health.

    Chino.

  4. I'd prefer a DSLR for fine shooting and a decent cell phone with an over 3.2 mp and a decent flash for a p&s... just for practical reasons. I just hate to carry too many things in my pockets so I decided to get a SonyEricsson p1i for a cell phone, which carries a 3.2 mp camera with a led flash for those party-at-night-pics (besides it manages excel, word, wifi and other windows compatible stuff which I use at work). Now I think I'll get it one of those 6-8x optical zoom lens found in the bay to enhance distance pics. that's because I don't need to plot pics taken with my cell phone... Now a 5.0mp cell phone must be had at a decent price these days.

just my two "practical" centavos for you to consider.

    good luck with your choice!

  5. I can't understand why I didn't read the whole 6 pages before. XP

I guess I'm a tad late here, but I'm astonished with what you've done, and an attractive idea that one of having the possibility of getting one also.

Good luck with that 1675 overhaul, looks like you're going to have a good time there!

congrats, and keep us posted, I even like the jubilee band on that beauty. XD

    Chino.

  6. I'dstick to the dealers in the board... well, comming from a mod might sound like a biased opinion, but why not? Our duty is to keep members safe from scam sites or even overpriced websites selling the same watches you can find here for lot less...

Usually guys at sites like those are very good answering while selling but very bad responding when there's trouble with your already purchased watch. Or if it isn't the one you wanted, or if it fails or if it breaks or if it dies on your wrist.

Wait a week while browsing the forum and if you don't change your site election after that, then what the heck, go ahead and try those sites, but don't say we didn't tell ya!

    welcome aboard, good luck!
