  1. 2006 Scion xA (not the box, but the hatchback) in indigo blue.

Perfect city car, I can "tuck" (park) it in places other cars can't.

Super nimble, high seating position, nicely finished and appointed for the money, I paid $14,700 with side air bags.

  2. Yes, thanks for pointing that out.

Mine came with the steel bracelet, and I bought the black rubber strap.

As I was fitting the rubber strap, I noticed that there is a small, round, sharp piece of metal protruding from the middle of the rubber strap end that sits up against the watch case, on both 6 and 12 o'clock sides.

So it makes the strap end sit a bit away from the case, and not snug against it.

Do you guys have the same thing going on with your PO rubber straps?

Is this something I need to talk to Andrew about?

  3. Ha, gothcha!

If I'd said "got my PO from Andrew today" nobody would have bothered to view my post.

So here it is, with the uncommon orange bezel/black rubber combo, on my skinny 6.5" wrist.

It really is a gorgeous watch, very well finished. I am very happy right now.

    Thanks, Andrew!

  4. Hi, everyone - I know this has been asked before, on the old RWG but I thought it would be good to get an updated response on this.

How many of you right away send out to The Zigmeister or Joe, or your own watchsmith your brand new rep for preventive servicing of the movement - cleaning, oiling and regulating? I'm talking about just the standard ETAs found in the Subs, Yachtmasters etc. We talk so much about perfecting the appearance of our watches with mods but there isn't much talk about movement servicing, other than the asian 7750s.

I've had PMs done to a few of my reps a long time ago, but that kind of fell by the wayside.

Today I was thinking about my new reps (5 this year) and how much I've paid for them, and beginning to worry that maybe I should get them serviced, remebering what The Zigmeister has told us about the condition he finds some new movements. I know he services his reps as soon as he gets them.

  5. 9 a.m. Chicago here - going to have brunch with family today. Haven't decided which watch to wear yet, but I think it will be the MBW blue Tt Sub, as pretty as a jewelled easter egg. Life is very good!

Happy Easter, Passover, Sangram etc. to all of you - and most of all Happy Spring - the beginning of short sleeve weather which means showing off your best reps to the world.
