  1. I always stick with the ETA as a rule of thumb. I haven tried the new 28k 7750, as I am not too fond of Chrono's mainly for lack of usage. I have 5 ETA's, the oldest one being 4 yrs old. Man they run like a tank, right out of the box. It keeps as good or even better time than a real rolex. It usually runs a few secs faster per month. If a watch was going to be inaccurate, I'd rather have it fast than slow..... as it would make me early for those meetings that I'm always scrambling for.
  2. just when you're about to narrow the choice down to a few, now the new generation throws the two color combination dials at you and now the leather strap. I couldn't even decide between the jubilee, oyster and the president band. And the Oyster band has two types, the old dull middle links, and the newer shiny "Daytona" like middle links. I'm going crazy! All in all, I ordered the blue Roman marker dial with the jubilee band from Ruby. I have a TT gold dial with stick markers that I enjoy, and my friend has the SS Silver dial with Roman markers on Jubilee band. Both GENS, and both are classics. I have the TT TOG black, which uses the DJ case, and it is pretty good. Even the gold plating is close to my GEN 18k gold TT. I can not tell the difference, even hand holding both of them. Man, you just can't go wrong with the ETA DJ's. Just pick and order away. I want to order one in every color.
  3. It amazes me how you find such info.... This is great.
  4. My Gen TT Blue Sub has the sleeves.
  5. Probably an enthusiast who is a member here and reads these posts. I have learned more about watches here than I really need to know, all because that's what happens as we read to find the best deals. (Now I ain't complaining mind you, but really, you guys started a MONSTER..... in me.
  6. Thanks for the quick reply. I will see if I can post some pics. The Date change thing bothers me. I told my friend to email Andrew, as I have read on these posts that he pleases to the end. I have purchased an Omega SMP GMT and it is flawless, except for the domed crystal that reflects like a fish eye lens, just like one of the eye glass lens from Dustin Huffan's movie, "Pappion". Reading all the happy Sub owners from this forum, I was more than confident in telling my friend about this site and the great dealers that you all use here. Thanks all.
  7. Okay. On my recommendation, I influenced a friend to order a perfect sub from Andrew. He received it in record time, that's pretty good. He just stopped by with it, as I was eagerly curious to check it out. So I check out the Andrew's Perfect sub, friend paid $338 for it plus shipping. Here are a few things I would like confirmation about. 1. I have heard that the SS band is light and feels flimsy. But when I held it, it really felt light and flimsy. It almost felt aluminum like. Is this normal? 2. The side of the band is not polished, but brushed, and unfinished, where as my TT band is highly polished chrome. Is this right? 3. The cyclops seem uncentered, as though it is too much to the left. Is this what the Perfect sub is like? How about the $218 model? 4. The bezel click sounds and feels way different from the GEN. It is claimed to have 120 clicks, but the feel is "Plasticky" and not precise. Is this right on a Perfect sub? Also, the Crown did not pull out precisely to the 1st click for the date, and the 2nd click for the time. Any comments would be helpful.. Thanks all.
