  1. Looks good. I need to get myself a leather or two for my collection. The cheap fake croc straps that come with reps just don't last!! Breitling purists look down on a non ss straps though. They say theres no ling affect without it so you're only wearing a breit.
  2. There are plenty of flaws with all the Bentleys but they are soooo good to look at anyway I could care less. If you're passing your reps off as gens you probably have a small penis and no one is going to notice your chrono is not a 30 secs anyway. To each his own though.
  3. thanks guys, put my mind to rest at least. I assumed that it wouldn't do much damage, but it just doesnt feel right when doing it! Does anyone else's V2 SA do it?
  4. I have a few reps and it does it on some and not others. My new Superavenger continues to wind when I am locking the crown after setting the time etc. It winds all the way until the crown is full screwed in and can't be turned anymore. On other reps, as soon as I push the crown in tight to screw it back in, there is no resistance. Which is normal?
  5. I thought you meant the whole thing. Still harsh to lose that though. I'm sure if you email the usual dealers at least one will be able to help. Might not be cheap though.
  6. The Wheel caseback adds a good few mm to the depth but you are right, it is slightly less than the SA. Don't know if you have the wheel case back as I always get confused with the different bentleys.
  7. bad luck mate, it happens to the best of us. I'm sure you'll get a replacement sent out but be prepared for a long wait. dealers usually want your one back first then they'll post the replacement by slow mail. Can take up to a few months sometimes. If you've got the spare cash, tell the dealer you'll buy another one (which gets delivered at the normal rate) and ask for a full refund on a receipt of the broken one. Some dealers won't do this though to save the few dollars your credit card company charge them.
  8. I've always wondered this too. From a review on youtube by breitlingsource the bezel moves just like the one on my rep. The bezel rotates the outer set of numbers. I just guess the glass if fixed. Been meaning to check a gen out in a AD for years now
  9. you made the right choice in my opinion. my black dial looks blue in a lot of lights due to the ar so you've got the best of both worlds. I much prefer it to the white as the rehaut looks deeper and the whole thing oozes more class. the subdials also blend with the dial on the white so it looks too plain if you are more than a few feet away. Also don't pay too much attention to the lume comments. My lume looks great and a lot of the critisism is based on photos of a dial which was particularly bad.
  10. mine is getting looser and looser. didn't think it would actually fall off though! any chance you could post a picture of it off? wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like underneath before I attempt to fix it myself. yodap...... does the bezel still turn with it glued back on?
  11. You won't be disappointed. I have the black dial and I am a happy man!!
  12. I have this watch, although it has the wheel case back rather than the swilerland one. Its my favorite watch by far, even more than my new Super avenger. Just as big but far prettier. No idea on the slide rule. I put up a post the other day about it actually but I only managed to get instructions on a navitimer which has different numbers for some reason. Try google although the rep is reportedly not that accurate with the numbers so you may not be getting the precise answers if you actually use the slide rule. Please post if you find anything.
  13. I have a 6.5" wrist (tiny) and love big watches. My favorite is a 49mm bentley and I have a Super Avenger on its way. Big watches are uncomfortable though by the end of a day, but I couldn't care less. I also have smaller watches. I wear my sub regularly and also a chopard and tag (both 42mm) I am 6'2" though so big watches don't really look out of place. I wear them loose too which adds to the effect. Couldn't really give two shiits what anyone else thinks, if its frowned upon by the watch community. I always get compliments on my watches and love the look of an oversized piece.
  14. This one for me. Counting down the days until its on trustys site. Blue dial also has new pics up.
  15. thank you mate. Will dig out my rubber glove and have a gander later. Anyone else have any idea about the screws?? Really don't want to lose one!!
