Wonder if a gen bezel swap would work? I'd be scared to wear it around my crowd without a bezel that was perfect. Cool watch.

I bought the Luminox watch pictured below today ($150 at TJ Maxx), but wow that UZI may very well be cooler! For some reason I'm having a mini-obsession with these military-Tritium watches. You wonder if it's wise to collect them, they actually have a lifespan unlike any other watch. They'll be dead in 25 yr or less (the lume anyway). I still want a few! I'd like an UZI like yours with a rubber strap.

Something about the name "Zodiac" gives me the creeps....not sure why. Cool "Eruption" solo dude! Mix the Phaser down a bit and review the tablature and you'll have it perfect. (You did learn that from tablature right?) I enjoy "repping" Alex Lifeson stuff from tabs, good ones will tell you all the right effects to mix in too. Sorry for the guitar hijack!

I had my local watch guy remove a few links from my UPO today, he really had to wrestle with the pins and bang the hell out of them with his hammer. I was horrified! No damage done though and watch fits prefectly. He had some special little plastic clamps he used to steady the link as he hammered the pins back in, it is this step that will be most problematic if you dont have the right tools, it isnt easy to hold the tiny link still and hammer on it without damaging the finish. He charged me $10 and Ill never have to do it again.

I am very, very pleased with my Pefect Clones (Joshua) UPO. You would have to be a rep freak RWG member to know it's a rep. One thing I should mention about this transaction that I think had alot to do with the condition of the watch is the quality of the packaging. The watch was completely shrink-wrapped in plastic, with two layers over the crystal, inside a plastic sheath, inside a zip lok bag, inside bubble wrap, packed tightly in a purpose made high-density styrofoam box (the box had a small cutout inside it just big enough for the watch as well as a lid-(I'm going to keep it), then all of this was in a heavyweight cardboard shipping box. Everything on the watch functions perfectly, I set the time and set it on my bedside last night next to my Bvulgari-this morning the times are identical. Listening to the 2 watches in each ear cant tell a difference in the sound of the "tick" for whatever thats worth (maybe my Bvulgar1 has an asian movement...). The crown moves in and out smoothly, the bezel lines up and rotates perfectly. Simply awesome. I will post some pics as soon as I can figure out how to properly photograph these things, tried the other day with my Bvlgari (see sig)-surprisingly difficult to do! Thanks to RWG and the Omega experts for helping me make my first rep purchase. The hardest part of all this was trying to explain, is a positive light, what exactly a "rep" is to my wife!

Hmmm, maybe I don't want to be noticed with a fake watch. Not really after the ladies, married to my very own hottie. Just a suit and tie every day kind of guy bored with the current machine on his wrist. I went to the AD the other day to try on a few UPOs and when I put the Bvulgari on the little pillow tray the sales girls seemed to have no idea what it was-they just picked it up and looked at it kinda funny. They wanted $3400 for the UPOs.

Waking up veeery slooowwww today. 1st order of the day (day 6): go to perfect clones , get the tracking #, pull up ems.com.cn, and once again stare dumbfounded at the phrase "despatch at sorting center". Then, in despair, I will take the same tracking # to the USPS tracking site where it will only say "foreign acceptance". Back to the window to look for the mailman. I will pass the time by periodically cupping my hand around my Bvlgari and checking out the lume.

I see the high end and low end rep markets driven by two different types of buyers; high end reps-purchased by more knowledgable people like RWG members (who not only can afford to buy gens but own several) and gen connoisseurs, then the low end reps whick I think attract an entirely different sucker for the most part. Very few people even know high end reps exist in comparison to the watch buying public at large. If any rep is going to have an effect on the value of gens it will be the high end ; my vote is this isn't even close to happening-the high end buying market is too small. Then, what do I know, the only rep I own is a UPO in the mail somewhere between China and Texas! I'm a Texan wearing a gen Bvulgari. A freak in his own land, a watch unappreciated. Recently I was with a friend who got a compliment on his hideous POS fossil- I was wearing a vintage Sub and received no such appreciation (and I am way sexier too). Go figure, there's your low end rep buyer-they don't compete with Gen buyers. How many times did I type 'gen' and 'rep' in this post? Geesh, sorry- had quite a bit of wine with the wife while we were sitting here watching "Gangs of New York"-me with the laptop as usual.

Lol, you guys are cracking me up. When I say I enjoy being noticed I mean very occassionally by those certain (rare)somebodies who appreciate nice watches . The Bvlgari is nice but is very understated with the rubber band, not much bling. And after reading up here I now have lume inadequacy syndrome, the lume on the gari is kinda weak. I am pretty sure the humongous 44.5 mm PO is going to create a stir. I have been fascinated by all of the info on these sites, but I admit I am still formulating my game plan when it comes to managing owning a rep, never had one before. So, someone asks "Is it real" what do you say??? Unless I am at an Omega dealer they shouldnt be able to tell?? Arrgh we will see how it goes. Oh, and I didnt get the orange bezel model, I got the black bezel orange #s model (precisely becasue of what I found during my research here, lots of people saying the orange ones can be crooked).
