If that is a 7750 modified to run 24 hours, I badly want one.

Navitimer slide rules?

Just saw these new models with the in-house movement. Is anyone aware of any plans to replicate these models?

Does the slide rule line up?

Wimps. I take some broken glass from the last fight I got into, and use that to shave. I don't need no stinking cream or gel or foam.

I wash all the watches as soon as they arrive, with colgate and a toothbrush under warm water and have never had a ater leak of any kind Carrera and Link included
Toothpaste is filled with small sand-like particles which could potentially scratch your watch, just be aware of this. I know this because a friend of mine used clean his spectacles with them, and they ruined the coating and the surface of the lenses.

I dont know about that specific strap, but on ebay a seller called tango252 sells straps that fits a carrera. There is a black leather sporting one with red stiching.
If you find one let us know what its like.
Yeah, I saw that one but it's a 19mm rather than a 20mm and fits the more "vintage" Carreras (CV21xx). I have already sent a message to the seller asking if they have them in 20mm.

The gen racing strap for my Carrera is nearing the end of its useful life, and I'm looking for a replacement. I was thinking of the black/red strap that comes with the Grand Carrera RS2 rep, I'm guessing it will fit on the deployment clasp I already have... does anyone know if this is available separately?

Mine has ETA 7750 and K2222 double AR (before he did a runner), and it looks unbelievable. Better than the gen!

I have to admit, I'm surprised you didn't like the Yacht-Master. I've trashed mine (whoops...) but I love the 3-D bezel. I guess they're not for everyone, but nice watches
That's the one Rolex I do like. I actually owned a Noob for a short while, but I never wore it because I couldn't pull off a

I have the exact same watch in the same colour and really like it. Thinking of putting a brown strap on it, just for a change since most of my watches have a black strap...

I think the same thing happened to my Link Chrono - it seems to be very difficult to get this part. If anyone knows a source, do let me know! Is it not possible to simply glue the crown and stem together?
-
I had the crystal on my Link Chrono AR'd by Jakub too, looks great.

Keep an eye on the member sales boards, they do come up from time to time.

I will probably invest in a no date speedmaster rep, Snoopy award anyone!?
You took the words right out of my mouth - if they use this mod to construct a Moon watch with correct subdial spacing, it is MINE.

Obviously I am not running in the same league as you guys, but I am in my late twenties and drive an X-type. Might be a disguised Ford Mondeo but that works just fine for me. 50mpg, lovely to drive, looks great as far as I'm concerned.

Do my eyes deceive me, or is that FINALLY an accurate slide rule?
-
Looks great - only thing I'd point out is that the datefont doesn't look like the ETA, but like the Asian datefont. But that is an easy swap!
Tempted to get one...

I knew I did something wrong, I've sold my Swiss 7750 Carrera in March for EUR400..
I'm gonna sit in a corner and cry
Don't cry, the watch is being worn and loved.
Just sent it out for a service and regulate job actually.

I have the gen leather strap on my Carrera, it is a great strap and well worth the money.

Set the date at 6.30 as usual. Remember that the date change mechanism is still engaged between 10pm and 2am... the hands are put on to be pointing to 12 o'clock at midnight.

It's not a super rep by any stretch of the imagination, subdial issues, inaccurate tachymetre bezel, thick hour markers, case shape, dial printing...
I know you're looking for a cheap quartz, but if you like this watch I'd really recommend an auto. There are some really nice quartz reps out there, the Tag Heuer Golf for example.

You can always sell the reps on, or give them to me.

Do the chronos work?
Rep-friendly UK Watchmakers

Hi all,
Have a few reps with minor issues that need looking at. Hands need to be put back on, etc.
Can anyone recommend a reliable watchmaker who would be willing to work on replicas? Am willing to drive a reasonable distance from London.
Thanks!
