It stops exactly when the second hand is where the minute hand? Is the second hand getting caught on the minute hand by any chance?

Get your watch tested for waterproofness to find out what depth it will handle.
-
The gen with the AR also has a sapphire caseback now.
-
I found the Link's crystal too reflective, so I have asked Jakub to AR coat mine as well, but I went for the double AR (can always remove the top later). The new version of the gen has AR now anyway.

The Golf is pretty good.

After visiting the AD to try them on, I also went for the 42mm. The 45mm was just too big for my wrist.

It's popular because with gens good lume is one of the qualities associated with a high quality watch. Readability in the dark is very cool even without considering the question of authenticity to the original. I know what others have posted, but Tomhighway quoted me GBP30 for a relume and my SOSF is with him now getting done. If it turns out well, there will probably be at least two others heading his way...

I just traded mine having never worn it. I would have kept it if it was available with a sterile dial.
-
I would most certainly pick up a 1:1.

I tried one on at an AD today. Nice watch, but WAY too much money at GBP3,000.

Ah, the power of selective facts.

k2222 is doing AR on my Carrera and Link as I speak. They are going to be GORGEOUS!

got arrested 3 months ago going into an AD with my first rep on my wrist.......
Want to hear this story...

Are you determined to get suspended or banned? Seriously?

Thanks for the reply. The ETA SOSFs are all 2824 and not 2836, right? I thought I remember seeing somewhere that some of them are 36s.
-
Still wondering, these SOSF datewheels are for Swiss ETA reps? Or for A7750s (Navi etc)?

Micromesh is magic.

Great thread. What is the correct method for drilling lug holes from the inside, on watches which aren't drilled right through?
-
Interesting, I like it. Being based on a vintage Heuer style I bet it's a more traditional size too. Try checking on Watchuseek or something.
-
Never seen it. Fantasy?
-
Curious about this watch as well, as there are actually some on eBay!
-
I believe the holes in the hands for the Asian can be gently enlarged to fit the Swiss movement, obviously reversing this is more tricky.
-
A sticky in the Auction forum would be a good idea... also explaining what that forum is for, as I for one didn't know about POTR's circumstances and spent some time searching before I figured it out.

The MB is a beautiful rep, the only thing is the sunken datewheel and lack of AR, otherwise exceptionally accurate and beautiful. I have one and am torn between getting the AR done and selling it.
What happened to this watch?

Get in touch with the collector and find out what they would like you to do with it. It may be a simple fix, or the movement may have been damaged by the moving parts.
