  1. So, my dream rep. (and the reason I started reading this forum) is a A. Lange & Sohne Lange I Moonphase. I have since found that the replicas of this watch (presumably because of the A. Lange propriatary movemnt) are REALLY bad. They have either non-functioning parts or they just look rediculous or they are SUPER inaccurate. Well, doing yet another VERY long search on the internet today, I came up with this replica: http://townbags.com/w/648/A._Lange_&_S...s_Replica_Watch Now, this is EXACTLY what I want (in terms of looks), but I cant find ANYTHING about the site and the watch description is SUPER vague. Does anyone have any experience with or every heard of this site? THanks!
  2. I am BEGGING someone to tel me where I can get a gen. classique for $500..Id pay $500 without ANY band, nevermind with the Lizard...lol
  3. I was thinking specifically about Omegas, but there are several other brands as well, where you can get a preowned for $1000 or less. Why spend $200-$300 on a rep, when you could save up a little and get a preowned? Just curious.. Im not saying dont by a rep (In fact, I just bought one), but why buy a rep of the cheaper watches?
  4. Again, Im fairly new to these boards, so I dont want to start hating, but I really dislike the look of the PAm and B&R watches. There is almost no athestic value at all to these brands, IMO. Do people like them because the design is simple and therefore easy to replicate and leads to more quality replicas? Or is it just an issue of "to each his own?" There seem to be a LOT of people who like these styles and I am honestly wondering if Im just missing something? Thanks!
  5. checkout Andrew (trusty time)...his site claims to have a "perfect" replica....looks damn close to me..at least I hope..since I just ordered it..lol
  6. Hey Steph, what a great review...especially for a new member who has recently made a decision on which sub to buy. One thing to point out is that the 1st generation genuine subs actually came with hollow mid-links. Many people end up going for the solid links because they like the weight, but if you have a genuine sub, there is a good chance that the mid-links are hollow (unless you ordered it with the solid mid links).
  7. haha, I know about TTK and have been talking with him. He does not sell a noobmariner with an ETA movement :-(
  8. Ok, so many of you have probably seen my recent posts...Im attemping to find the "perfect" 50th anniversary sub replica. General consencus seems to be I should go with the n00bmariner fitted with an ETA movement for the best combination of quality and authenticity. What do you guys think about this watch and do you know anything about the dealer? Thanks in advance, you guys have already been a GREAT help... http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...products_id=797
  9. Would anyone here be interested in modding an MBW Anniversary Sub for me? If so, please send me a private message. Obv. I will pay you for your time/effort/parts. Thank you in advance for helping me!
  10. You guys have been so helpful that I have changed my mind about 10 times already..haha I really thank you guys for all your help so far. And TTK, thank you for your honestly...it is much appreciated!
  11. Thanks to all of you for your honest opinions....so if I wanted to the best quality AND the best accuracy, it seems that the N00bmariner with an ETA movement would be the best of both worlds, yes? If so, are you able to do this TTK? Also, you are correct, I will not/dont want to do any mods to the watch. I want a watch that no one can tell is fake without opening it up, but still have a good, high-quality movement so that I can feel good about the watch as a timepiece as well.
  12. I have been having a TERRIBLE time finding an accurate replica of this watch. Most of them are WAY off and dont even have the same functionality!! Does anyone know a reliable dealer who might have an extreamly high-quality verion of this watch? I am always happy to pay more for quality. Thanks!
  13. I am currently a member of RWC, and was referred to this site as well. I am trying to decide between an Anniversary Noobsub with the Asian 21jewel movement and the MBW sub with the ETA 25jewel movement. This is my first replica, but at the same time, that doesnt mean I want bad quality. I was curious what your thoughts were on the movements themselves and (if you know) on the differnces between the MBW sub and the N00bsub. Thanks for your help for a first time poster! ~Craig (supermoves)
