    Hi all,

    I'm a newbie, never owned any replicas yet. I really like the AP ROO series, and especially the "black" PVD-coated ROO. Do they make reps of this version? I can't justify spending over $20k for a gen ROO, but I do really love their look. Please advise. tks

    this is actually a unique piece till i know belongs to one of the guys in AP factory and was custom built for himself is a EoD dial in a PVDes ROO SS CASE ( i read an article about it in The purist)

    Yes.. same thing different words.. they want to charge the "Duty" .. or they are "baiting" you to respond.. jus inform your dealer ASAP !!. scan and send a copy of the letter.. but wahtever U do do not contact them at ALL!! even to question ... If asked... deny any involvement.. that's the "game"

    and yes you cannot tell them it's a rep.. they know what they are doing .. so sorry to say you have to let this one go and wait until your dealer sends out another..

    the good news is you will get your watch.. but the stess is aweful !!

    after 1 an a half month reteined in customs, finally my BP arrived yesterday!!!!!!!! customs fined me for "try to income a hidden merchandaise" jajajajajaja (as josh put it inside of a toy) 50 us fine and the watch was delivered

    the watch is just great!!!!!! i really think is in the super rep range but way low priced,

    good quality for price,

    OK THIS MONTH I REALLY SCREW THINGS UP REALLY BADLY, MY WATCHSMITH WHO WAS MORE THAN QUALIFY AND HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE, AND OFFERS ME THE BEST PRICES FOR WATCH REPAIRS ( SWISS 7750 FULL SERVICE 100 USD, 1 FULL YEAR WARRANTY) WAS HIRED FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER OF CARTIER IN A CITY FAR AWAY, SO NO MORE REPAIRMAN = ( SAD FOR ME, REALLY GOOD FOR HIM

    WE'LL THE PROBLEM IS: I THINK "HOW HARD COULD IT BE TO SWAP THIS MOVEMENT? FIX THIS AND THAT? SO I START DOING "SIMPLE" TASKS AND NOW I JUST FINISHED WITH 3 NON WORKING WATCHES:

    MY COUSTEAU DIVER SWISS ETA ( I COULD REATTACHES THE HANDS BACK =( AND BROKE ONE OF THE DIAL'S FEET

    A MBK AP ROO ALSO SWISS ETA POWERED BROKE BOTH DIAL FEETS

    AND A MBK ROO WITH CHINESE MOVEMENTS NOT RUNNING NEITHER HERE DONT BROKE ANYTHISNG JUST WHEN I PUT THE STEM BACK DIDN'T MOVE AGAIN

    SO IS THERE ANYONE WHO NOWS A GOOD WATCH SMITH WHO CAN HELP ME TO HAD MY BOYS RUNNING AGAIN? IF SOMEONE KNOWS SOMEONE IN MEXICO WOULD BE PERFECT BUT I THINK USA OR CANADA COULD BE FINE TOO, THE OBVIOUS ONE IS The Zigmeister BUT I THINK HE'S OUT RESTING FOR A TIME RIGHT?

    No actually they said that the package exceed the value and they need the invoice to check the right price and quote the corrt tax to import the good, so they must think is a GEN

    but if a tell them "is a 200 usd watch" from china they`ll knew right away is a fake and confiscate it

    well i guess is just a question of waiting now,

    Do not reply !!!! do nothing.. they will send it back to it's point of origin in 30 day's and your dealer will replace it..it's not a matter of "will he?".. I'm sure he will..sorry for your loss.. I can empathize..!! -_-

    did it say ... "no invoice" in the letter.. and chances are it went to SFO.. not LAX ??

    Edit add:.. sorry I looked at your time zone and it does not appear to be in the USA>>

    U may want to consider another address..

  19. Alternative strap & buckle for my EOD

    Hi

    try panatime the croc with yellow stiching is really nice, also the nylon strap can be "upgrade" to make feel a lot better, try this:

    a) Remove the central "leather" square, then remove the "inner kevlar strap", and velcro endings.

    B) Exchange the nylon portion with a old Gym bag strap or other nylon strap you like ( check the size be correct 26 mm wide, I fold mine to make it thicker), sew it and now transplant the other parts to this new one, you can adjust the size to make it fit perfect, i did this to mine and now is much better, and the look of the watch change a lot compare to the croc straps.

    I have a MBW EOD that comes with a crappy nylon strap and way off the mark not like gen) buckle.

    Can anyone recommend me an alternative strap and buckle that is worth investing?

    hi kruzer, is possible to transplante the innerbezel and the dial+movement to a mbk case, this way you had the best of two worlds MBK general finish plus the new correcte dial and functions = )

    i did that with and old chinese AP and a Empty MBK case i have.

    Wow, fabulous post Lani. Blown away by the quality. I officially give in and will have to get one. Now a couple of mod questions. Is there anything on the original first generation MBW AP ROO that someone should consider swapping out on this one? Crown, bracelet, etc.? Should the screws on the gen be white gold in which case it might be well worth it to get it plated. Anything else of this nature? Based on your movement review it doesn't sound like it is worth it to morph in a Swiss 7750's parts. Lastly, you always have a good feel for what is coming down the pike. Your guess on the upcoming ROO models?
