hi i have a friend that can get his hands on a broken Cortebert cal 534 that doesnt work (hes described it as winding ok but not engaging) so i have two questions, would this fit in ANY pam case to create a vintage pam and is it fixable, if you could respond as quick as possible i would be greatful as hes coming home in the next couple of days
thanks Ben
dont think so.... very very difficult swap. get a 616.

That looks great... how big is the watch? men's size or small?
normal black seal 45mm
-
this is pink tritec mixed with noctilumina B5M for a bright blue glow.. "pink seal"
-
i use gorilla glue.... strongest $hit i've found
-
how about a nice cup of coffee for it....those white fonts are hurting my eyes
it only got the mods requested by the owner...

just finished this one up.. converted a 111H to a 112H! basically just had to swap the seconds gear and dial.. also did a cannon upgrade, full lube, crowngaurd lever mod, and "c2" lume job as well

How strange , I have lost control of my sallivary glands
How come it looks soo small between your hands. Isn't the SA 48 or 49 mm? Maybe since it's missing the band.
it's HUGE!!! i have big hands though LOL!

i just may stop taking mod work for a week and build up some more VCOs... seems everyone needs one
-
your luck man! my wife thinks they are butt ugly!!!
-
the bezel fits but the screws are a bit too long to tighten down properly.. if too tight the bezel will not turn.

i just finished this up for another member here.. what an awesome peice!!
gen 7750
gen dial
gen hands
gen bezel
cheiftang double AR sapphire

Honestly?
I really like the strap: beautiful and very original. Congrats!
I just wonder whether the 183 really makes for its perfect match... The strap has sort of a macho/casual look, while I personally feel the 183 more like a dressy watch...
good point.. may be better suited to a vintage or fiddy....
-
i wanted a vintage looking historic strap for my 183 and i found some super soft old saddle leather and whipped this up
what do you guys think? i wanted something a bit different.

i just have rodone the dial and hands with pure pink superluminova a bit bolder shade, tall cannon upgrade, seconds hand clipped so she can notice it turning better, and the movement is superlumed as well so she can play with it in the dark. i also honed the cannon pin a bit so it is easy to turn the crown to change the time as she loves to mess with the crown but couldn't turn it before. i also ordered her a new case set as this one has stripped lug screws..

Ok with a 5yo girl of my own I have a real soft spot for this kind of thing....................way to go Flav
Ken
thanks ken! i did some more mods to the watch..i'll post pics soon.

very nice marco!! why no clear caseback to show off the corte? love the plexi!
-
there must be a way to clamp the edges instead of the face....
-
That is one fugly watch
I would not buy it, even if it was replicated to perfection by our trusted dealers here.................

@Flav
are dial and hand for Unitas? How do you fix dial and hands on cortebert? It is difficult work?
the hands are cortebert hands. moljina hands may fit with a bit of crimping and reworking. the dial is unitas. it's a really hard project and takes alot of patience and time. absolutely nothing fits! everything i mean everything needs modded to fit.
-
I agree.. Beautiful watch and work but the pure white lettering on the dial text is ruining the whole watch and vintage look.
how about this???
Gen 177 vs 111i
in The Panerai Area
Posted
you cannot go wrong either way! just don't get it new. save some $$ on a nice used one off paneristi or timezone.. they both hold their value very well but the 111 seems to sell faster and hold better percent of it's value. i personally prefer the sandwich dial as it gives it another dimension. i love my 111i... it's mey second favorite to my 183g. nothing like the genuine quality.
