Read somewhere on the forum of a tip to change the white lettering to a more ivory-ish color.
Not sure exactly of the dipping solution, but it was something like coffee and/or iodine.
Anybody tried that or has a better way?
Thanks!
Hi,
I have a Revue Thommen diver watch with a swiss 2824-2 movement.
I only wear it once in a while but, when I give it a little winding to get it going, the rotor turns!?!
Sticky rotor?
It didn't do that before...
I've read that you shouldn't wind a automatic watch but is this normal?
emailed us seagull but they don't sell movements alone.
unless I'm interested to buy a large quantity, which I'm not looking for.
Will probably settle for a swiss eta 6497
Hi T,
Sorry about your loss...
There is no better cure than new projects to help a man get thru his toughest times...
Cherish the memories and go on with your good life!
p.s:
should add that I'm really pleased with my Titanium T48 Great workmanship!
and that I wouldn't mind a perfect crown guard to top it off............................ :-)
Thanks for the input...
I have a feeling it doesn't need to be much longer that the first one I fitted.
When I put pressure on the crown with my fingers when winding there is no problem...
probably a mm or so...
When I installed a T48 crown on my 177 recently, I cut the stem a little too short.
Result: skipping when winding but no problem setting the time.
Now waiting for a new stem.
What could go wrong if I we're to cut it on the long side this time?
Thanks!
