  1. Can someone please explain to me the differences between these two watches apart from the leather and rubber straps. Also, can someone please tell me how to put on the leather strap! It's hard putting it in the slider and lifting the case because it sticks to my wrist. http://pure-time.com/product/royal-oak-offshore-2014-navy-jf-11-best-edition-blue-theme-on-blue-rubber-strap-a7750-free-blue-leather-strap/ vs http://pure-time.com/product/royal-oak-offshore-jf-11-best-edition-blue-themes-on-blue-leather-strap-a7750/
  2. Hi All, First time poster here, been doing a lot of research and have finalised on 4 AP's (I know, its not much of a finalisation lol) that I would like to choose my first purchase on! I'm having a hard time deciding between these 4!! I was wondering which one you would recommend as the best out of the box rep? (I know some of you will mention the Diver but I'm not too into that one) The choices are as follows: 1) (Black 15400) best-edition-black-dial-on-black-leather-strap-a2824 from PureTime I like the 15400 because of its classy yet simple design, nothing to flamboyant. However, I've read that there are quite a few red flags with this one (ie. the AP logo is not glued properly etc) 2) Bumble Bee - Bumble Bee is pretty self explanatory, its drawdropping gorgeous! The rep seems pretty darn top notch as well. However, I'm not too sure if I want to get a rep watch that's "screaming" for attention. Not to mention that the price is pretty steep! 3) Ultimate Black Dial from PureTime - I actually like this a lot. Its subtle yet not boring to look at! Im not too sure about the quality on this rep though because people of this forum have been back and forth about it! 4) 2014 Black Themes -I like this updated black themes, but again, there hasnt been much in-depth discussion regarding the rep quality of this watch! As mentioned, I want to choose one where I wouldnt have to tinker with. (Ironically it seems like its harder to find a mod in China ) As of now I am leaning towards the Bumble Bee the most, solely because a lot of members are saying it is the "best" rep they've seen out of the box. However, if some members could tell me if the Black Dial or Black Themes or 15400 (Black Dial) is the same or even better quality (out of the box), that would be the best! I'm not too overly fussy with the movements just as long as the aesthetics is gen-like. I have previous experience with purchasing a rep Milgauss from TrustyTime but the steel band was pretty disappointing compared to Gen Rolex's. With this, I immediately assume that it would be even harder to replicate AP's higher quality metal bands. This is the main reason I am looking at mostly leather straps. Thank you all in advance for your help!
  3. Hello my beloved APers, got my first AP and with it, the infamous problem with the sec@12 movement So now I'm calling out to you guys to please enlighten me with a detailed description of what the Jewel Mod actually is. I have no intimate knowledge of watch movements, but I do see an advantage here, and I have very good reasons to ask such an extensive question, so please bear with me: My watch is at my local watchmaker, getting serviced soon. Since he is replica-friendly and is an AD for many swiss watchmaking brands like Breitling, Longines, Cartier, he (and his team of 5 watchmakers, i think) seems to be quite the professional. Now the advantage that I see in this situation: "Why not try and ask him whether he can pull off a jewel mod?" I figured it neither would hurt nor would it cost anything to ask, plus it would be a great advantage to all of those that are thinking of doing the jewel mod or those still to encounter the sec@12 problem, to know that there is yet another watchmaker capable to do it. Now to the problem: I have only a very vague and faint idea of what the problems with the sec@12 movement is, the most frequently used word being "!!!!!!!FRICTION!!!!!" to describe it. And something with "gears". -Yes, I'll glady take the smirks and grunts those of your reading this, because I myself am amused about how little I know about the watch i spent 500$+ for. For me to be able to ask him, therefore, I would like to ask you if you guys could explain to me what, exactly, the problem is, and what, exactly, the jewel mod is and does. For those of you patient enough to answer this question, I am very thankful And for those that are tired of seeing this topic AGAIN, I am very sorry!
