Hey Watch Bros (and Sistas), So I have my eye on several new watches (Omega and Rolex) at the moment. I grabbed a recent IWC with help from the Forum (Thank you). However, I keep searches for the latest threads on different model reviews to consider the best Rep models available that I want. The trouble is I spend hours and hours searching threads on the Forum that are most often up to 10 years old trying to put bits and pieces of information but the information is mostly not up to date and current. I also try and piece together different threads with bits of info but it's a tedious process trying to get enough information. I've tried posting new threads asking for advise on current models but I think they get lost in the mix and most often I don't get any replies. Perhaps there is an easier way or I'm doing something wrong. Any advise or suggestions to guide me would be most appreciated!!!! Thanks! -
Hi guys, I bought this book recently and began reading. It has been great so far. But I have to ask those who are familiar with the book; since it was written decades ago, how relevant is it to watch repairing today? I'm sure there have been numerous advancements in watchmaking since then (I think it was originally published in the 60's), but can this book still serve as a good introduction to the craft? It has been reprinted as recently as 2008 so I'm guessing It does remain somewhat relevant.
