if you are not on a unlimited data package (I am not). would this use a lot of data on a car journey?

Yea you need to download all 17 parts and then use winrar to extraxt the file

but this is the 1.65gb version which has all of Europe you can find individual maps also ie for UK IRELAND GREECE etc smaller downloads also.
